    Personally I think that Blue and Owens final interaction is more impactful than people would think. The movement Blue is slightly different from the ending of the other films- she normally tilts her head but here she raises it, resembling the movements she and her sisters did when Owen was training them in Jurassic world( they raised there head to show their respect to him being the alpha while Owen does not). However here, after Owen gets injured by Blue, he shows he is afraid of her until she raises her head showing she respects him. Owen then follows by raising his head to show he has a lot of respect for her, finally ending with full mutual respect.

    Don't get me wrong, this movie was amazing. But one of the biggest missed opportunities of the movie was having the Therezinosaurus instead of the Spinosaurus in the last act of the movie. Having both Rexy and the Spino both taking down the Giga would have been amazing. I was waiting to see the Spino the whole movie and it crushed me not seeing it.

    Love your investment and passion for this franchise. The legacy of JP1 carries on, so far, though none of the sequels can come near a masterpiece of a movie as Jurassic Park nor the genius of the two Crichton books , the lore has grown into something of its own and is still trying to honor everything that came before it rather than just water it all down and make money. I saw it june 2nd, i saw it june 6th and then again later this week. They're onto something and though nothing is perfect, i think they did a great job and it's good to know, whatever comes next, fans are patiently awaiting and will not just take anything thrown at them as scraps and applaud it, Dominion shows there's a lot of respect for JP's legacy rather than just blasting out another one for money.

But no need to, i truly appreciated it much more on second (and third) viewing now. It's not supposed to be a fan pleaser, it pays homage to the first JP and first JW, it's got a lot of girl power (some of it a bit 'forced', yes) and the hands vs raptor scenes made me cringe, this is all my genuine feelings... Yet, i walked out the theatre on the second and third viewing feeling like 'yeah, good stuff, let's go watch it again, i love this franchise'. It's dear to me, i never got into

    The movie ended a bit like JP3 in that it was suddenly just over. The ending finished before Rexy and Therizinosaurus resolved which I didn't like. The lack of spino was a shame perhaps, although they did refer to Giga as "biggest so far" alluding to the fact they may know of a larger one out there. Although, it's great to know that after almost 30 years and a marriage later, Alan and Ellie finally got that damn kiss. It was always something made so painfully obvious during the first film that seeing her married in JP3 was one of my main reasons for disliking it. Kinda wish they would retcon JP3 a bit and have her admit that Charlie was actually Grant's son the whole time, that way we could still see a Grant, along with his would-be parents, in future projects. I would love a series chronicling all three of them further making a life for themselves post-Dominion.

      Alan and Ellie not being together in Jurassic Park makes sense. we understand that the trauma they both lived was too much for them to live happily ever after (sorry about that). When they meet again during JP3 they talk about dinosaurs. they remind
      their trauma everytime they see each other. However we can see how Ellie still love Alan and vice versa, and that they deeply trust care about each other. It was obvious that they could not overcome they’re trauma and only time would, that is what happened in JW (well that is how i interpret it, but I totally understand why people are disappointed of what happened to them in jp3)

    1) Rexy should have killed Giga without any help. It would make T-Rex fans very happy after all those things they've been doing with the T-Rex in this franchise. It also would make the prologue make sense, as it was implied that Rexy would get her revenge;
    2) Therizino should have fought the Spino. It would be a way to put Therizino in the spotlight and a way to make Spino fans happy.

Ramsay says they trasported lots of dinosaurs from Sorna to their sanctuary. So I think they are just the Rexes from The Lost World. The facts he puts so much focus on THE Trex being brought there just before Ellie and Alan arrive could just be because he knows it's the JP Trex and that Ellie and Alan met her in the past already at JP. Rexy would have had a flashback with the Giga and when the Giga killed her in the past she would wake up and kill the Giga, but that didn't happened so I was really dissapointed in the ending fight, because they missed a huge opportunity with this. Even Colin confirmed it that it's a significant scene, because it shows that how things can change. :) Also exactly the helicopter chasing scene can confirm that the two Rexes are the same. • @everettsalmans104
      @everettsalmans104 Před 2 lety +1

      I liked the movie but during the middle part of the movie, the pacing got really bad. And most of the dinosaur scenes ended up being pointless because they actually didn't help the plot out whatsoever. Beta is really just thrown into this movie so then you can see Blue because Wu really only needs Maisie to study because he says it is in her DNA and not Beta's. And the whole Malta bit bringing back the laser pointer thing from Fallen Kingdom was just a mistake and I wish the whole Malta scene was cut from the film. On the second viewing, I found myself getting really bored during all the action scenes because there were no consequences to the protagonists. They all leave pretty much unscathed except for the broken arm and cuts and bruises. The Giganotosaurus is also just basically thrown in there to see it. It doesn't kill anyone at all in this movie. The finale wasn't interesting or thrilling at all because no characters were killed. The Quetzalcoatlus scene was cool; if I hadn't already seen the whole thing through the trailers and TV spots. (Should've cut it from the trailers to at least make it more exciting to watch.) The Pyroraptor was cool but instead of charging the protagonists, it dives underwater because somehow that's easier to do? Also gotta mention how poorly they degraded Grant and Ellie. These were characters I loved and to see Grant now become some lovesick paleontologist who doesn't even love his job anymore is disappointing. Their relationship is very forced in this movie and you can tell, the first Jurassic Park at least is more subtle with it and it works. It doesn't wrap anything up well because it leaves an open book ending and didn't conclude anything. At the end of Fallen Kingdom, we were faced with the problem that dinosaurs were now in our world and at the end of Dominion, we are still facing the problem of dinosaurs in our world so really nothing was accomplished other than stopping a famine caused by Biosyn's locusts. To fix a locust infestation, Wu creates another one. This film should've been about the dinosaurs in familiar places like the cities instead of taking place in the remote Dolomites mountain range of Italy. Also at times the animatronics just look really really bad and some of Blue's CGI just doesn't look good from up-close shots. In all the movie has too many problems for it to be a good movie IMO but it creates a unique idea with the locust plot to stay decent. Also, the OG cast really adds nostalgia points to this because without them this film probably would've done a lot worse.

    The Therizinosaurus/T. rex Vs Giganotosaurus fight had to be one of my favourite JP/JW dinosaur fights because the antagonistic dinosaur was taken down with help from a herbivore, even if it was a very aggressive and terratorial one at that.
    Perhaps the reason that Rexy and the Therizinosaurus didn't turn on each other after taking down the Giganotosaurus was because both of them were tired and injured (Rexy after nearly getting killed by the Giganotosaurus while the Therizinosaurus broke a claw during the fight) so they might have settled their differences with who can roar the loudest before parting ways.

    Hi Swrve, I think there are some points that can lead us to understand when the Microceratus was created:
    The "version" of Charlotte who pets the Microceratus is still very young and even may not be adult. Also whether she was on Isla Sorna or more likely on Isla Nublar (because the set in the background was replica of the lab from Jurassic Park) when the video was shot, both facilities were finaly abandoned in 1994. So certainly the Microceratus must have been created before the fall the Jurassic Park and the Site B. The reason why the Microceratus was not included in the Jurassic Park promotional materials and on the species list is simple: it was not ready to be displayed in the park. Same like the Stegosaurus, Pteranodon, Mamenchisaurus or Pachycephalosaurus. There are even more species if you consider JP The Game at least as a soft canon - Tylosaurus and Troodon also existed during 1993 event, but were not ready for public. And moreover, the "secret" presence of Microceratus in the original Jurassic Park lab may be an easter egg or reference to the original novel, where the Microcerarus was one of the displayed species and met multiple times with the main characters.

      And it's stupidly free, it just suddenly happen at the end like "ok ok, here's some big dino fight."
      Even the Spino - Rex fight is better, although it's half free too, at least it has the storyline interest of showing us that there are worse things than the T-Rex, given how early in the film it happens. And so that puts the Spino as a big threat pretty early on, show how terrible it is. But there in Dominion it only happens at the very end, when the story is already over, it doesn't even have any special script interest.
      Ok they try to show some rivalry sooner in the movie, that 2 super predators are too much for this valley (one of the characters hint at it) but it's utterly destroyed in the end when they show that there's in fact 3 super predators with the other 2 rexes. But suddenly it's totally okay and not a problem to have this much alpha predators there now that the big bad Giga is dead (that was only living his life by the way and was probably there before the others.)
      That was the ultimate stupid moment in their obsession with portraying "good" or "bad" dinosaur. T-Rex are so good and respectful fellas in JW that they can be 20 in the same spot without fighting each other ...

This entire rivalry was the reason I was so hyped to see it, and I was really sad and talk how pathetic it was. Remember, this Giga IS THE SAME ONE that killed the ancestor of Rexy, so having the therizinosaurus here is a real facepalm. Imo ramsay cole could be darius's big bro. Considering the timeline in between Dominion and season 5 and possibly he failed saving Darius or sacrificing himself in order to save the campers and that Dodgson found him wandering lost somewhere in Muertos archipelago and since he (cole) now knows everything or might discovered something, Dodgson adopted and treated him as his apprentice under the name of Ramsay Cole. Having the perfect timing, he uncovered the truth to Malcolm. Who knows, i dunno if its possible. Maybe, we dont know yet. As you've just said Swrve, Dominion ends as an open book. Hopefully there is more to follow the franchise and that the season 5 may well tell something about since the original ending of Dominion was cut and brought to Season 5. The movie wasn’t a “epic conclusion” it was a failed conclusion and doesn’t even make sense. Trex and Giga get no screen time till the end. Which was bullshit because the movie doesn’t even have any villains if you think about it. The movie has multiple conflicts which confused the plot and what it wanted to do. While focusing on Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant trying to do one thing, we are presented with Claire’s and Owens inability to parent a human clone. Blue wasn’t really a part of this movie except she just sat back home and waited which was a horrible way to end the characters arc like that and IS NOT A CONCLUSION. Wasted potential with the legacy characters coming back especially in one scene when they get introduced back to Dawgson we have to sit through a painful scene of dialogue which was scripted so poorly and so boringly. To me this wasn’t Jurassic World: Dominion it was Mission Impossible: Saving A Human Clone meanwhile Giant Locusts kill the earth. THE unbalance between action and non action made me hate the movie because for half the film nothing really happens and we so no dinosaurs and then the other half we get a dinosaur in every single shot. The malta scene was cool I guess except not because every shot was so blurry, choppy, shaky, like a kid with an iphone was filming it. I didn’t really feel a threat come from any dinosaurs whatsoever except maybe for the dilophosaurus which was strictly a cameo dino the director brought back because it only had one appearance in Jurassic Park. So many plot holes and dumb decisions. Also Mosasaurus another wasted character which could of played a part in the movie and maybe bright danger to the main characters but no, IT IS ONLY THERE FOR COOL SHOTS. God this movie makes me realize how good the Jurassic Park trilogy is, Jurassic Park, Lost World, EVEN Jurassic Park 3 hits it out of park comparing it to this shit show. Jurassic Park Trilogy > Jurassic World Trilogy. Hopefully the writers learn something and in future make a prequel to one of the jurassic parks because this new day dinosaurus amongst humans is total bullshit and is boring and I HATE IT.

    What would have been a cooler ending for Dominion aka the end of the Jurassic Franchise is a mix between the Jurassic World and Jurassic Park.
    So the camera goes to a cliff like in Jurassic World, Rexy emerges from the forests onto the cliff along with Buck and Doe on both of her sides and when Rexy does her spin around and roars like in JP, Buck and Doe would roar like the ending in Jurassic World and finally at an age of over 30 years old, Rexy lends out the ferocious original JP roar.

    Technically if people remember the InGen Documents from the DPG before Fallen Kingdom was released it had a list of the Dinosaurs on Isla Sorna and Nublar to which Microceratus was on Site B with it's current status unknown during the events of Lost World and JP3 and after. Dinosaurs from Sorna being collected for Jurassic World and BioSyn Valley is something I want to ask on how they could've arranged it and how some of the creatures made it to the mainland if it was by swimming or cause of people. There's also the fact that at the end of Fallen Kingdom many of the animals should've been on the west coast of the US and like some are still there, but how was it that so many species began to spread far more faster to the world than they should've?
    South America and North America should've had the most common occurrences of Dinosaurs either due to the Lockward Manor incident, illegal dinosaur shipping or again swimming dinos (didn't mention the pterosaurs given how they uncontested in the air save for planes and other flying machines they could fly to different parts of the world or like wise be transported too.) How was it they spread so far with new species not from Sorna or Nublar sighted across the world? Were people failing to contain the new dinosaurs they were cloning or something else afoot?
