    • @JohannesKonow
      @JohannesKonow Před 6 lety +59

      Like jean luc says... there are no sprung hubs in these clutches and they are incredibly difficult to get off the line if you are not used to them. I can guarantee that everyone in here would stall that car on first launch.

    • @brockbain8656

    • @geluix69
      @geluix69 Před 6 lety +2

      +Declan White during an official rally cars are inspected and giving a temporary Mot and can only circulate from stage to stage at the legal speed limit. After the rally is complete the cars have there temp permits removed . If your thinking of registering a full spec rally car at local DMV good luck , these cars are no way road legal . I know this from personal experience.

    • @brockbain8656
      @brockbain8656 Před 6 lety +6

      No you do not jean... Here in Australia we can acquire rally registration. this is extremely cheap but is also rather limiting. you can drive the vehicle on the road within a radius of the registered address of the vehicle, between certain times, if you are to go outside of said radius or outside of said times, you must contact either RMS to check and obtain allowance to do so, requiring a reason being either a car show of which you are to participate in, relocation of the car from one place to another or competing/transporting in a rally.
      Also these cars are road legal under rally registration, they are exempt from all road rules so long as they are given a certification by an approved engineer after inspection.

    • @geluix69
      @geluix69 Před 6 lety

      +Declan White nope, there only legal between stages and for a short period. Like I said if you don't believe me go to your local DMV with a full spec rally race car and they'll just laugh and say ..... Eh No . At least in North America anyway.

But, this and all other WRC cars (WRC, WRC-2, WRC-3, J-WRC) either use paddles or a sequential stick shifter. Also, just like a normal manual car, the car will stall if the revs bottom out completely. If you hold the clutch when you are at idle, it won’t stall, like a normal H-Pattern car.

    I have a big question I can not get answers for anywhere but this car is based of the 1.2 model coupe road hyundai public can buy but my question I presume the 1.6 T GDI engine bolts streight into it without any mods as they only ever made it 1.2 in the basic model of this

    Has this guy ever seen a manual transmission car in his life? If he only knows automatic (not much to know about it anyway), he shouldn't be trying to drive this one and eventually damage the clutch (not cheap on a WRC car).

    Weird question but does anyone know why the right paddle is so much bigger than the left?

    • @fujigazone12
      @fujigazone12 Před 6 lety +22

      The left padle is for other purpose there (windscreen wipers or something else),however the right padle is for the gear changes.You pull it to shift up,you push it to shift down.Finally is so big so you can reach it easier in different steering wheel positions. :-')

      I’m sorry this may sound stupid, but why is there a clutch pedal if it has paddle shifters?

    • @gale7682
      @gale7682 Před 5 lety

      @@stefan_4508 It's sequential manual transmission. Clutch has to be used when you start moving or lock the wheels when braking. The paddle shifter in rally cars control fully mechanic gear lever so it's kinda like assisted manual. On the other hand ferrari for example uses dct automatic transmission. In automatic cars the clutch is fully automated so you can't control it. Paddle shifter/gear lever in dct just send signals to the computer to change gears so it's like a semi-automatic.
