You're amazing, Trinny. You, can talk about any subject, from the most delicate and difficult, to the lightest, like clothes and make up. It never feels weird, you're just like the best friend ever, and you're absolutely true and honest, nothing's fake or contrived. Susannah has the same talent, and I love it. You still keep your integrity intact at all times. You two are, and were, absolutely magical, at creating friendship and trust, together, and now separately.

As an Australian, always brought up to wear sunscreen and often a hat, I'm amazed that when we travel, my husband and I will be the only people in hats when at the beach or sightseeing.
😳Me too. Always impressed that Aussie's required school children to wear sunhats as part of their uniform. Still shocked by the bold hatless 😰 as well as the out & out sun worshippers😎 in the States.
😊These days, I try to stay strictly in the shade. Avoid being out & about between 10a-3p when the sun is harshest, esp. in a🌡triple digit heatwave like we're experiencing now🥵.
🧢If I'm not wearing a hat👒 of some kind, I will carry my big golf umbrella☂️ when going about.
😉Most of the time, I only see Asian & Latina immigrant ladies carrying a modest umbrella to shield their skin.
I'll occassionally see another Caucasian family using a parasol🌂 at an LA area flea market or county fair🎡. That's mostly when they're trying to see to the comfort of very young children👶.
I'm even willing to wear a UV protected surfer style 🏄♀️ "burkini" for the beach 🏖 & pool side 🏊♀️.

Encourage all to wear your max spf🧴too. Indirect sunlight can still be deadly. 🏡 My family home has a galley kitchen w/a massive picture window on one side. The house is oriented, so this room does NOT get direct 🌞 exposure. Still, the lower maple mcm cabinets under the window have remained their original dark stain. Over almost 60 years, the entire wall of back cabinetry has been bleached blonde. Be safe!

We’ve grown up in Australia wearing swimsuits that cover up. Very common here to wear those as well as bikinis. Also very prominent sportspeople in super sports like cricket wear zinc sunscreen and that normalises it as well. Children are not permitted to play outside in primary school without a hat on. Still with all our precautions, government promotions and awareness we have the highest rates of skin cancer in the world. Good on you for taking care of yourself and spreading the message.

BTW: I love having 'inspiration options' too esp. when the weather is cold and hot. I did the wide flat folding on one side with dresses and it worked well. Just rolled jeans and tshirts.
When I was working before retiring, I used to go out to eat by myself all the time. Really enjoyed it.

You are fantastic Trinny. I do enjoy your videos. I remember the first time I went into a restaurant and ate on my own. It took a lot for me to do it but it made me feel very powerful. I was 20 at the time and am now 74, will be 75 in October. Suffering from a migraine since last night and was sick this morning. It is easing a little so the first thing I have done today is watch you and your unpacking and when you mentioned eating alone in a restaurant I just had to comment.

The Essex House on Central Park South has great views and is more modern. I always heard the food at Cipriani wasn't that great so never went, but love the one on Lake Como. And I have eaten alone so many times.

Trinny be careful, you ending on the rug, that shows you are full of energy. When I get jet lag, I just fall as sleep almost immediately, can’t stop it. Listening that you don’t use powders, it is interesting because I don’t either. I’m 40 and just use sunscreen and cream blush but I was hesitant about not using. Now that you mention that, can you please share why you don’t. My number one reason is because the little fine lines show more and it makes my skin look dull. Have a nice time in NY, you and you daughter are so sweet, God bless both of you.

YEs go and sit alone in the restaurant and eat in peace and comfort. Every woman needs to learn that. I did years ago when I went abroad to work and live and I had no cooking facilities or very basic ones and eating out was so cheap and delicious that I ate out every night alone until I made friends. But I did go in off peak time in the early days until I got braver. Its liberating.

Also get CLEAR. It puts you at the top of ALL lines at Security even TSA approved. It’s not at all airports but at the major ones and it’s a game changer. I think it’s US only? Not sure. Unless you get celebrity treatment which takes you ahead of everyone anyway, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
