    There seems to be very little help for dysphoria apart from affirmation, it might be interesting to explore how dysphoria might have developed and why deciding to take on a role where he will be ridiculed was the best solution , it's almost as if feeling humiliated is part of the AGP.

    • @jovazquez6102
      @jovazquez6102 Před 20 dny +2

      Humiliation is a part of AGP for some, but not for others. Most agps, myself included, just want to exist as the everyday people that we are. This is as serious to us as serious gets, and if we don't pass, we get humiliated. If we get outed, we're humiliated.
      Frankly humiliation just makes me sad and paranoid, not horny lol. That's why a lot of us strive toward passing. It's a sort of place to sit down, take a breath, and finally just live life.

I have the feeling Schyler is gay and was easier this way to accept his sexuality, and his problem with testosterone is that the libido is higher, so the struggle is bigger against your sex interest, if you come from a very religious background where particularly homosexuality is harder to accept. But what do I know... that's my personal opinion. Also, to be clear, not every person with gender identity disorder (GID) has autogynephilia. It seems more reasonable to me for most ppl to assume as a default, that culture should just be sufficiently comfortable with "gayness" (I thought we were, but I don't even know now) and treat most trans ppl (especially young) as probably just needing to become more comfortable with being gay ppl in their 'original bodies' in the social sphere, rather than altering themselves, unless some of them occasionally remain convinced they need to go pay money in their 20's for some surgery so they don't spaz-out.

    Great guest! Sky's story is important to humanise and destigmatize trans experience, because they are so eloquent, respectful and balanced. I don't understand why they identify as AGP... they strike me as the homo/bisexual type according to Blanchard.
    I wish the best for the cool and lovely couple, if parenthood is on the stars it will happen.

      @Darkstar951ok, got it. I listened again to Sky's explanation and I understand now.
      I don't know if there is something "wrong". I just heard from some stories about the risk of becoming a problem in partnering with other person or the risk of becoming an obsessive/compulsive sort of addiction.
      If there's the possibility of integrating that in life and being happy, good 👌

      This is a good example of why blanchard's typology is overly rigid and obsessively categorizing by sexual orientation instead of just looking at the actual motivation for transition is dumb.

      Both gay and straight TIMs are AGPs. They both fetishise the idea of being the "woman" in a relationship/in bed.

      @@oceanview211-nh6ri in Sky's case it is clearly not only sexual because they had the fantasy of being a girl before puberty.
