    I got this as a gift back in 2012 (I love Philips products) I've dropped it multiple times on hard floors and it still works like the first day I got it great quality as always from them.

    Thank-you your presentation was great and helped me get mine working. I like the way you did it, step by step, even some one like me could follow! The player is ok, sound quality ok, must remember it”s portable, so we are looking for convenience rather then quality of sound, so for what it is, it’s ok 7/10.

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 6 lety

      Glad to see I could help ;)
      Sound quality indeed isn't the absolute best, but it gets the job done.

      @@SfekkeI have a Sony D-EJ118 and it is a top quality product. Although it does not play MP3 files, I still recommend it.

      @obvioushieidude7668 Před 8 lety +4

      +Mazxlol I believe in supporting physical media. They're tangible and are generally better quality than the more compressed mp3s. I do download mp3s too, but I prefer buying cds (and eventually vinyl, once I have the money for it).

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 7 lety +4

      I myself grew up using CD's so until a while back i really thought CD's where the best quality
      But I've opened my eyes and have found that you should play whatever feels right
      If you prefer Vinyl you might like music in a different way then other people
      Same for CD lovers they love CD's because they like it to sound a certain way
      MP3's same story but a little more versatile you may like them for the way they sound
      or for their ease of use since MP3's are easy to get easy to use.
      Final words:
      Play whatever you think sounds best do not let people tell you what is best
      If you like music that way then it is good for you? Right?
      People are different and should not tell each other what to do/not to do!

    I bought this player two years ago. The case of bad plastic, they used to do much better. When listening to pauses extraneous noise. The sound is not very high quality. Any batteries and rechargeable batteries quickly discharge. I installed the Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2500 batteries and were discharged after 4 hours of listening. The only plus is that it reproduces any discs well, without fail. 7/10.

    I own this beautiful portable CD player from the "exp2546" Philips model; according to you, to listen to my CDs at home in my player, is it better to have a headphone or the classic small headphones? ... Thanks a lot in advance :).

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 5 lety

      Depends, for pure audio quality it's hard to beat a good pair of headphones
      However if you are on a bus in ear headphones (small ones) cancel out the background noise
      But for you at home, a pair of normal headphones will do the trick!

  • @lilyaann1483

    Hey thank you for the review! :)
    I have a question.
    Do you have to use always new batteries? or can you load them in energy everytime.. and can you charge it not through batteries, AND another question! if not, do you know a discman that works without batteries??

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 8 lety +1

      +Lily Ben Shoshan At the moment i use rechargeable batteries so that works fine.
      You have to use a battery charger to charge the batteries it is quite annoying to be honest but still a great CD Player none or less
      It also has a 4.5 Volt DC Jack on the right side of the CD Player so you could use it with that plugged in ;)
      Hope this answered you're question

    • @Sfekke

      It is quite big.
      You could put in a backpack with no issues, even smaller ones.
      But without backpack it isn't that easy to carry around.
      This is one of smaller ones I could find new.
      Hopefully I could help ;)

    I'm planning to buy this but I want to ask you a question is it loud?

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 7 lety +4

      Yes it is loud you do not have to crank up the volume to hear it .
      Should have no problem going at any volume level.
      It goes quiet if you like but can also blast away if you like that more.
      So Yes it can go loud but you also have the option to turn it down if you would like to.

      There's no USB ports as it's really only meant as a basic portable CD player :)

    • @Sfekke
      @Sfekke  Před 2 měsíci

      You can use AA batteries, both rechargeable and non-rechargable ones; there's a DC power jack as well but I pulled it out of my closet and checked, it doesn't charge the batteries in the player.

    • @jackdouglass4653
      @jackdouglass4653 Před 2 měsíci

      @Sfekke thank you very much, I mean, that's pretty much right, considering a CD is only somewhere like 700mbs or 500mbs, probably, very good review I didn't expect it to be that small that could be convient to carry with in your luggage or personal belongings, I might consider getting one since I've been growing up with cds, but the retailer at an electronics store told me that and recommended if I download music mp3 player
