Gamer Out!
I got this as a gift back in 2012 (I love Philips products) I've dropped it multiple times on hard floors and it still works like the first day I got it great quality as always from them.
It's hard to kill these things, I have to say that Phillips makes some quality stuff!
Thank you - needed to know where the batteries live 😊
LOl - me too.
Thank-you your presentation was great and helped me get mine working. I like the way you did it, step by step, even some one like me could follow! The player is ok, sound quality ok, must remember it”s portable, so we are looking for convenience rather then quality of sound, so for what it is, it’s ok 7/10.
Glad to see I could help ;)
Sound quality indeed isn't the absolute best, but it gets the job done.
@@SfekkeI have a Sony D-EJ118 and it is a top quality product. Although it does not play MP3 files, I still recommend it.
Can’t even understand what you’re saying
This video is quite old & I was extremely nervous, that is why I spoke insanely quick & stuttered every other word.
brings good memories, surprized someone still uses cd playersl ;D
+Mazxlol I believe in supporting physical media. They're tangible and are generally better quality than the more compressed mp3s. I do download mp3s too, but I prefer buying cds (and eventually vinyl, once I have the money for it).
I myself grew up using CD's so until a while back i really thought CD's where the best quality
But I've opened my eyes and have found that you should play whatever feels right
If you prefer Vinyl you might like music in a different way then other people
Same for CD lovers they love CD's because they like it to sound a certain way
MP3's same story but a little more versatile you may like them for the way they sound
or for their ease of use since MP3's are easy to get easy to use.
Final words:
Play whatever you think sounds best do not let people tell you what is best
If you like music that way then it is good for you? Right?
People are different and should not tell each other what to do/not to do!

I listen to mp3s mostly, most of the time I dont care about kbps as long as i like the song ;) i used to burn a lot of CD'd until one day my car was broken into and they stole my collections of CD's, bastards!
sorry to hear man i cant imgine someone who would do that.
david Tirlokhi - I know! Who steals CDs?!? crazy
I bought this player two years ago. The case of bad plastic, they used to do much better. When listening to pauses extraneous noise. The sound is not very high quality. Any batteries and rechargeable batteries quickly discharge. I installed the Panasonic Eneloop Pro 2500 batteries and were discharged after 4 hours of listening. The only plus is that it reproduces any discs well, without fail. 7/10.
thank you i,m glad you like it merry christmas.
Same for you.
Have a good day,year,life ;).
Hope to see you around!
I own this beautiful portable CD player from the "exp2546" Philips model; according to you, to listen to my CDs at home in my player, is it better to have a headphone or the classic small headphones? ... Thanks a lot in advance :).
Depends, for pure audio quality it's hard to beat a good pair of headphones
However if you are on a bus in ear headphones (small ones) cancel out the background noise
But for you at home, a pair of normal headphones will do the trick!
Hey thank you for the review! :)
I have a question.
Do you have to use always new batteries? or can you load them in energy everytime.. and can you charge it not through batteries, AND another question! if not, do you know a discman that works without batteries??
+Lily Ben Shoshan At the moment i use rechargeable batteries so that works fine.
You have to use a battery charger to charge the batteries it is quite annoying to be honest but still a great CD Player none or less
It also has a 4.5 Volt DC Jack on the right side of the CD Player so you could use it with that plugged in ;)
Hope this answered you're question
Stefke ik bekeek aanvankelijk even deze en ik vermoedde al n blaming te horen - vandaar!
Vlaming natuurlijk - don't blame me :)
Doesn't look as high quality as my Sony D-js15 portable cd player that lasts 40 hours on two AA batteries so nice & has g protection for no skipping better then anti skip! Just sticking to what I have!
can these sort of things play audio books. I've always wanted to listen to the hobbit while on the toilet
I have no audio books on CD [Who does these days...]
So there is no way to try it for me maybe look at some other reviews [If there are any.]

Lmao
I'm having trouble turning it on it's like it's broken or something.
Hello!I have this, can You help me? Needlem which holds upper part went out. How can I put it back?
Question:
Is the audio quality good?
Clear sound, very good!
one dozy nutcse
my freind gave this to me but didnt give me the manuals and other stuff. how do you use this cd player? i couldnt see it clearly in this video
is it too big? because I want it to carry in school
It is quite big.
You could put in a backpack with no issues, even smaller ones.
But without backpack it isn't that easy to carry around.
This is one of smaller ones I could find new.
Hopefully I could help ;)
thanks for the fast response
so I couldn't like have it underneath my jacket listening with earphones??
Some jackets might fit, but putting the player vertically causes playback to stop.
Size isn't the biggest issue here, gravity is
I understood.i don't know I was thinking about buying a Walkman cassette player because they are quite small but they are too rare to find
ii got one of these for about 29 dollars back in 2010 and it is still works but i don,t think it,s very loud i mean sony are better cd player in my book.
They might be,
but i couldn't find any Sony players where i buy most of my stuff [CoolBlue]
Anyhow i'm still happy about mine.
Could you tell me, if you can turn it off, if there's a CD inside? Because when I use the on/off button, it only stops. So how do I turn it off?
Keep the on/off button pressed, it should turn of.
I was gifted Jensen portable walkman by s friend.will it work with a speaker? I don't want to put on earphones too often
I'm planning to buy this but I want to ask you a question is it loud?
Yes it is loud you do not have to crank up the volume to hear it .
Should have no problem going at any volume level.
It goes quiet if you like but can also blast away if you like that more.
So Yes it can go loud but you also have the option to turn it down if you would like to.
TheGamer3399 ok thanks you so much
Said Said No problem.
Glad i've helped.
Does yours still work?
Yes it does works like new
the other question is if it reads burned cd's or MP3. Each Player reads original CD's that's what they are basically made for.
It does both for MP3's it has different buttons but it does read MP3 files
Do you know how many gbs cam be stored any usb ports In it
700mb, standard size for any CD R/W-R
There's no USB ports as it's really only meant as a basic portable CD player :)
Are the batteries rechargeable what kinds of batteries would I need
You can use AA batteries, both rechargeable and non-rechargable ones; there's a DC power jack as well but I pulled it out of my closet and checked, it doesn't charge the batteries in the player.
@Sfekke thank you very much, I mean, that's pretty much right, considering a CD is only somewhere like 700mbs or 500mbs, probably, very good review I didn't expect it to be that small that could be convient to carry with in your luggage or personal belongings, I might consider getting one since I've been growing up with cds, but the retailer at an electronics store told me that and recommended if I download music mp3 player
Why the hell did you order this?
mine, the volume is not functional
Oh that's quite annoying :/
Can i charge the CD player with a rechargeable batteries and how many mAH and volt does it need?
Just the normal AA rechargeable batteries should work.
I don't know about the volts and mAh, but taking the one you use for ex: a TV remote does work [What i did.]
Hopefully i helped you ;)
Does it make alot of noise?
No it is really silent when spinning the disc.
Even when it looks for tracks hearing it will be hard.
Haven't got a clue what you are saying.
Omar Jhungoor well this is a really old video, tbh my accent hasn’t improved much and I still ramble on forever!
i got it for 1$
Vlaming natuurlijk don't blame me :)
Lmfao some of these comments crack me up like how do u use this thing and mAh LOL I know exactly how to use this LOL 🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🙌🏽
Please edit your video. This should have been about 3 minutes long. Yawn.
I've been working on that.
These days I try to do a better job at that part of content creation.
But thanks for letting me know anyway ;)
(Sorry for the late answer I apparently missed your comment ,my apologies.)
