So proud of our boys tonight. I wasnt' sure how well we would do against Philly, but a 4-0 shut out is something to be proud of. This team has overcome a lot in their first season, and we're now starting to see what a great team they can be. Lattanzio made a case for his 3 year contract tonight. I'm happy for him and the team. I love Charlotte FC! Mighty Black & Blue baby!

@Cinders Charlotte is in their first season... let's not act like they have seniority or claim to BOA stadium compared to the Panthers. It's an American football stadium, before it's a soccer stadium. They need a stadium that's designed for soccer if anything, until then enjoy the stadium that has given Charlotte the ability to have the 2nd highest league attendance and set the record for largest attendance for an MLS match.
@@fullcircle8231 my family has been in Charlotte longer than America; i appreciate the panthers stadium but its horribly true this year that they are having horrible attendance while the fußball side is enjoying major success. What else could be done to make it more of a soccer style stadium, they already modified it to have the central field entrance and all

I didn't realise the NFL playing field is so small.
Yeah. it's interesting to see how much bigger a soccer field is. Just proves that soccer is the manlier sport - you play with almost no protective gear (shin guards are about it), you don't stop the clock for 90 minutes, you get extra time based on fouls and injuries, AND you play on a field that's wider and longer....
@@PDohm123 there isnt any key player in football that is 5'4. NFL by far is "manlier" in barbaric terms. Soccer is much more high class imo.
Why we gotta keep judging sports... just enjoy them. And let's be honest, there's not much high class about watching some players flop around faking injuries and fouls for 90+ minutes. Soccer has its low moments too lol

The physicality of the game also cause much more frequent and worse injuries than soccer, even with gear. We share Bank of America stadium. And because of Hurricane Ian, they had to paint the field for both games, because the Panthers played yesterday. They wouldn't have had enough time to paint lines otherwise.

Why did it happen to us? I can't follow the news and breakings from abroad. Is there an injury or a player who missed this match? Anyways... Losings are the part of game as winnings. My heart beats with Philly. Glory for THE UNION 💙💛
Honestly, it didn't matter to them. Losing to Charlotte FC does make a difference to them. Personally and this is just my opinion, I think they gifted Charlotte the win. Charlotte has a slight chance of making playoffs in their inaugural season, it doesn't affect them to lose, and they can help a new team try to make playoffs. I personally believe that's what happened.

On top of that, by losing to us, they're no longer guarateed the #1 Seed going into the playoffs, OR a Round 1 Bye week. If Montreal wins their next game, and Philly loses or ties, Montreal will take the #1 Seed in the East and the Round 1 bye for the playoffs. There's no way Philadelphia "gifted" us this win. No they shouldn’t, it makes the field to busy and overall confusing. It’s excused here cause Charlotte were preparing for a hurricane so they painted both to save time, but teams should not have the American football lines

It's not. MLS allows for teams that share stadiums, to have two fields painted, in situations where weather plays a factor.

Well, the NFL brings in more fans and money. Charlotte FC plays in Bank of America Stadium which has been the Carolina Panthers home since 1996 with the logo all over the place. This is the first season of existence for the crown. Also, the Carolina Panthers play a home game tomorrow and the NFL lines need to be there to save time for the grounds crew. Let it go, Charlotte FC has no say in this.

@@GdF420 Even with the NFL lines, Charlotte FC is a smash hit in Charlotte. The city does take soccer seriously, the average attendance at home is one of the best in the league. The owner of the soccer team is also the owner of the football team and there is a home game tomorrow for said football team. Not to mention that a minor hurricane just swept through the area and to make it easier on the grounds crew to prepare for tomorrow, the NFL lines needed to be there. In my opinion, playing a soccer match in a baseball stadium is more degrading to the game than an NFL stadium. The city of Charlotte and the owner of the team cannot build a new stadium to separate the Panthers and Charlotte FC, it is not embarrassing to the game just a difficult circumstance to navigate cleanly.

No. They just renovated Bank of America stadium. They're not planning on building a SS stadium for Charlotte FC any time soon.
And, frankly, we don't care what anyone thinks of our field. Y'all just sour we beat Philly.

Swiderski doesn’t like celebrate his teams goals, but when he scores he goes nuts
The first goal he was upset because if Swiderski had seen him (which I think he did - no way he didn't see that run) and played the pass it was free in on goal. It has happened a lot this season. Swiderski is the single most selfish player I've ever seen. He baby rages if he doesn't get a pass, doesn't pass to others unless forced around the box, and only celebrates if HE scores. He was yelling at Rios to give him the penalty when Rios was on a hat trick.
Everyone else seems to have great teamwork for the most part. I really hope a European team picks up Swiderski after the season. He's been amazing since he started dropping deep to link up play - but I just really, really don't like him at all.

Hence why they don’t open up the second floor for regular mls games. Charlotte has a lot of catching up to do in terms of fan environments when there are teams like lafc, Atlanta, and Austin with some pretty impressive mls ultras.

It's called a multi purpose stadium, Charlotte having a League 2 like stadium isn't gonna get that many people there. There was about 30k+ at that game. Until they get their own stadium thats how it's gonna be
