that dragon took me ages to kill, i think i was making the mistake of using a slash weapon too. my successful attempt took like 10 minutes

Yeah - it took me so long! I cut out numerous failed attempts at him. One of the attempts lasted less than 30 seconds. The fight started, I summoned Mimic Tear, Borealis knocked me off Torrent, then did his 2 freeze mega attack and boom - I died lol
