All drums are 100% natural sounds. No triggers or samples are used AT ALL, whether that be for replacing, backing or enhancing sounds in any way. Not one single hit is snapped to the grid either, OH and it was also all 1 take with no miming or pre-recorded audio/video....you get the point, it's all me baby 😎

this is the weirdest fucking crossover of my worlds.
I like how he says he mixes hip hop and metal but it’s literally 10 secs of a rap beat and then it becomes a mix between Born Of Osiris (Jason Richardson era) mixed with Erra and Sever The King hahaha. Most impressive drum play through I’ve seen in a while.

Ive been playing drums most of my life, and have seen a LOT of the best drummers in the world show off what they can do. But from 0:55 to 1:15 i think is the most impressive thing I've ever seen done on the kit. 1:42 is flippin rediculous as well. How can the evolution of metal drumming go further? Certainly this is the pinnacle.

The fact he didn't use triggers and every note still sounds so concise and distinct. No muddy kick or anything like that, and they didn't even quanitize it. It just shows what an absolute machine he is.
What really gets me is how he remembers all of his parts. It's just so many hits
You remember groups of hits, it's like I stead of remembering every letter in a paragraph, you remember every word, those groups of letters... It's like that in music, you remember groups of notes or phrases, then you remember what phrase goes after...

May seem insignificant to some people but it makes me happy to hear an unapologetic mix of modern metal and hip-hop/electronic. As someone who grew loving both metal, idm and house at the same time it's pretty hard to find something so relatable to your tastes bundled in one package.
