Biggest problem with this trailer is that Eliksni wasting his talents by not playing a double-neck guitar.

I play D2 on and off, but started at the very beginning back in D1 with Exotic bounties, when Crota fell, when gjallarhorn was the most sought after thing from a raid, when you could farm engrams at a cave the hive spawned in the cosmodrome. When the reef was opened to us. When Taniks began. When Oryx came for revenge. When we stood with Lord Saladin to avenge the Iron Lords as a young wolf fighting SIVA.
I missed the start of Destiny 2 and the first 2 small expansions but came back to avenge CAYDE 6, then continued here and there doing the bunkers for Eris on the moon, seeing the pyramid ships get closer and closer week by week, feeling the end coming. I missed witch queen but came back for Lightfall and we ignore that one, then went back and did Witch queen.
I will come back and end the game I once loved a few years ago and still miss, because its a story that is deserved to be finished
10 years, been playing this game all through middle and highschool, am now graduated and living my life. It's always been a safe space and I've made many friends and met many people through this. It's been an honor to be a part of this community, and though our game may not always be the best and we have low points, it's beautiful when it bounces back. It's been an amazing 10 year journey, now let's finish it.

Game literally was my childhood. Started playing it when i was 9. I turn 19 this year and this game has been a constant throughout the past 10 years. Met some great folks thanks to it.
My first game was Pong back in the 1970's, then Atari, then the others that followed. I've been gaming that long. This game is the best so far in my opinion.
I started beta d1. This journey has been the greatest experience of my life. See you in final shape Guardians.

the guardians showing up on the beach was sooooooo sick. I actually always wanted the story to be about all the guardians working together. Not just one nameless "hero" guardian that all of us are. Its cool seeing multiple show up like that.
It could be a moment in game like the beginning of the Red War where actual players show up to help.
The guardians remind me of mandalorians. Especially on that beach shot your were talking about it reminds me of the scene in season 1 of the mandalorian where all of the mandalorians show up unexpectedly and help mando escape with the child

Huge fan of Zavala beginning to break under the weight heâs shouldered for years its so beautiful narratively
I think Keith David conveys that perfectly too, as he takes on that role
This. The Final Shape feels like a changing of the guard, as so many of the characters we know sound so...tired. They've fought for centuries, they'll fight one last time, but they all look and sound exhausted.
He supposedly accepted his past in the season of the haunted and even in the dark past we prevented he did not turn neither evil nor corrupted, so I believe it's gonna turn out alright. It's a good way to hype the expansion, but I think it would be awkward to see him fall to more trickery and illusions.
I think itâs such a fascinating story because weâve been so focused on the Witness making Our guardian a Disciple, but we never thought of our Vanguards, Zavala whoâs been broken down and everything he holds dear has fallen. Itâs heartbreaking but such an amazing idea I couldnt have seen it coming.
One thing with Zavala, is I think he refuses to join the witness, and is forced to bend to its will. We see after the witness extends invitation a scene where Zavala is being pulled into the shadows by the hands of what seems to be Clarity Control (the person). So, it is completely plausible that we have to save Zavala, or fight against him while he is controlled by the witness.
Ironic that the Witness wants to "Remove Pain" and yet his final shape is nothing BUT pain in still form.
Just like Mara described it to Eido: a taxidermy of the universe.
He says it's the final necessary pain.

Witness believes he knows "true pain" compared to what he's doing. His motivation is not being given a motivation. So now it's the final shape to end all pain, end change, end joy. That is true balance. His ideology isn't really concrete though. The witness should want to DESTROY the traveler to get rid of there gifts. They want purpose! To shape a future of there own!
To them, this is a necessary pain to rid humanity of the traveler
This is it, for 10 long years we have fought, died and lived again. Now it ends here with one last battle.
Been playing destiny since the beta of destiny 1. I was about 11 years old and I remember running home after school because I heard xur came back and I bought gjallarhorn. Itâs crazy that throughout the ups and downs, this game has stayed in my life and here we are 10 years later still here. Gather up guardians! We will become legend!
I picked Destiny one when I was fifteen out of nowhere on the PlayStation store, it was in promotion, knew nothing about the game, no one recommended it to me, no friend of mine wa splaying it.
Here I am 22 years old at the time of this message, pursuing studies in 3D modeling and concept art because of it.
You gave me a world to explore, and some friends to do so with, all of that packaged in one of the best stories I have played through my gaming experiences.
May the end of it be exceptional. Thank you Bungie.

I did a similar thing when I was 10, and now I'm turning 20 in a couple months
I actually picked up D1 when I was in my mid twenties, I had actually quit one job thinking I had another lined up, but it wasnât there, but I did get another one the following month so yeah interesting time with Destiny and Iâve left for a bit but ultimately always came back (especially when they went to PC) and I canât wait to see where this story goes

I played Destiny solo until Taken King when I met some people from a Facebook LFG group. Now I can say I still game with those people and some new ones. Some of those people I've met in person. It ain't just a meme. Destiny really has been the friends I've made along the way.

From Pre-Ordering Destiny for Xbox 360 and upgrading to a Xbox One copy for the midnight launch party to joining Destiny 2 on PC in beta until now. Itâs been a ride. Iâm excited to see how this saga concludes and how the next begins. Weâre going with a bang
2014 I played a beta for a shooter and fell in love. The story, the world, the characters. My titan has been my unchanged character for 10 years. Now we face the final act.

From TTK to the D2 beta to now...man its been a long strange trip. Lotta restless nights, thrown controllers, beaver codes, angry mic rants, raid completions after 12 hours and one flawless run. Thanks for being apart of my life for so long Destiny.

I picked up destiny when I was 14, Iâd already grown to love bungie from halo thanks to my dad and this felt like a game I would be able to invest myself in, 10 years later Iâm getting close to 24 and this game has become exactly that for more, from the gameplay to the story this game has been part of half my life now. Please let this last piece of this saga be an incredible ending.

Cutscenes quality already progressed incredibly with TWQ and LF, so this could simply be yet another improvement they made. But of course having Sony and their connections to other parts of the industry (and cinema too) definitely must have helped.

Partially yes, I'm sure Sony gave them plenty of money. They also hired a guy who used to make short animated Destiny films. He made one about Felwinter vs Citan. They hired him because he had insanely good shot-to-shot composition.

It's only visible for a few frames (right before Cayde appears), so slow down the video.
Only 2 frames of that shot. One where he's standing holding something, and another where they burst with the Prismatic effect. Could be repurposed from when The Guardian becomes Prismatic themselves, or could be a piece of a cutscene of Zavala losing his connection to the light or something.

Ever since season of arrivals, Zavala was shown to be breaking down over time. This looks like the time he finally snaps :0
Turning Zavala into the penultimate boss of the campaign before we can face The Witness would be actually bonkers turn of events, forcing us to actually snap him out of it. He's the one who was always reserved about the use of Darkness. Always the resolute and rightcheous one. The good guy Zavala. It's poetic that it would be him of all people, who would get corrupted in the end to do The Witness' bidding. Because he was put through so much. Experienced so much loss. Had so much weight on his shoulders. He and Ikora were the two remaining leaders of the entire Human civilization prior to TFS. Cayde was gone and the Factions left the system. But it was him who didn't embrace the Darkness. He never did. Others eventually embraced it and learned Stasis or even Strand, but he was always the faithful follower of the Light. He never learned how to control the Darkness, because he blindly believed that The Light will provide. And that will be his undoing now, because he isn't prepared compared to Elsie or Osiris, to bare it without consequences.
