On this episode of Deer Season 22, we’re going back to the state of Illinois for the full story of an incredible buck known as Junkie. Over the last three years, Junkie has been on the top of the hit list for Terry and Forrest. The miles he traveled and the number of Reconyx pictures drove them nearly to insanity trying to figure him out. In those three years, they only saw him twice and never had a shot opportunity. That is until the opening morning of the second gun season in the Land of Lincoln. Forrest was able to end the three-year quest and tag his biggest buck to date after pulling the trigger on his Traditions Nitrofire. Awesome buck, no doubt about that. Patience paid off there. I don't know what distances he was at, but he looked pretty on-edge while he was feeding. I think I would have taken the brisket shot depending on the distance. Congrats, it worked out.
No matter how many times I watch this I dream of a deer like that, it’s so hard to work 60 hours week then get out and find a deer of that caliber! I’ve did ok in my area I took 130-135 last year 10 point. God bless me but congrats again guys u all put the work in for sure

Awesome deer !! Congrats. I noticed when you were tagging your deer you put it around his tendon and it suppose to go around the leg bone. Im not trying to be a know it all but ive lived n hunted in IL my whole life n witnessed first hand a game warden give a friend of mine a ticket for improper tagging cause he had it around the tendon too.Just giving you a heads up in case you run in to one of the wardens with an attitude.
