you wanted opinions on the fake grass. If you don't want honesty, don't ask for opinions.
I'm just blown away that she bought a house in that condition for over a million. Wild.
Welcome to the Bay Area that’s “normal” pricing out here
Making an internal access into the garage was a smart move
i’m always shocked to hear the price of the homes you flip! the before and after prices give me such sticker shock. but you do such a great job with the homes you flip, they end up looking so well done! 👍🏼
This video was not just about aesthetics; it provided practical insights into maximizing space and functionality on a budget, leaving me inspired and ready to take on my own home remodeling adventures.
I am not a millionaire investor either. I bought a condo built in 1975 that has had almost nothing repaired or cleaned since it was built. The first thing I had to do was scrape off the popcorn ceilings. Then repainting, but this needs more work because the wall surfaces aren't smooth. I had to use an orbital sander to get the grease off the kitchen walls. One of the carpets had seen a little too much cat urine, so I tore it out and the carpet pad and that room has a concrete slab as a floor. I found very cheap flooring materials at Habitat for Humanity. They sell leftover ceramic and porcelain tiles from construction jobs for 50 cents a square foot. The problem is often that you can't get enough of the same kind of tile to do a whole room. This can be solved by finding similar tiles and laying them in a mosaic pattern that will look better anyway. I have been accumulating grey and white stone tiles, 1 foot square and 1 x 2, to do my bathrooms and kitchen. I think I will also do my countertops in porcelain tile. For those I would use the 2 x 2 foot large format tiles that are 1/4 thick. Sure it would be better to pay someone to make custom countertops and install them for me, but I think I can redo my countertops this way for under $50. There are only two things I am a little unsure about. One is moving my toilet about two feet. It means I have to cut into the slab of my condo to move the drain. I also got confused about recessed lighting. I bought some recessed lights at the same place for $4 each, but am not sure if I have all the hardware to mount them. Once my condo is in better shape, I can put it on the market for about 20% more than I paid. You do have to spend hundreds of dollars on materials like tile adhesive and paint, but it shouldn't cost much to remodel an old condo if you are creative with the materials.
My favorite details are the large glass door for the kitchen and the clear shower doors for the small bath. The more light, the better. These are details often overlooked. Great work!
I love the new fireplace
The two-tones cabinets are amazing
Wow, this Small House Big Shed House Flip is incredible!
wonderful design updates. i really admire how you treat each project individually and don't take a cookie cutter approach.
What a charming yet modern looking little house. You did a beautiful job. I really like the fireplace.
This house has seen a tremendous turnaround. I like the way you created an efficient use of space and enhanced the flow of traffic within the house.
Well done. Congrats on taking charge of your life after laid-off. Happy New Year!
Wow, this Small House Big Shed House Flip is incredible! The before and after pictures blew me away. It's like a whole new home, and they did it on a budget - impressive!
The front lawn looks great, I really like the rock stream in the middle and was very surprised that you mentioned that the lawn was actually artificial turf. It cuts down on the water bill. Other little changes are so impactful, the new fireplace, getting rid of the front closet and providing access to the garage from inside the house, such a safety issue there, and moving the washer/dryer from the kitchen to the garage, and the new glass back door to the garden totally transform this house. Luv the two tone kitchen cabinets.
You did a fantastic job in this house. Love the pops of blue on cabinets. Such a pretty and serene looking house. Nicely done. Happy New Year! 🎉
You did fantastic work, as always.
- Happy New Year!
- I am hoping to take the plunge myself in 2024, finally leave the rat-race, and hopefully be on same path as you traveled.
Another stunner from you
I love the doors you use for your projects . 👍🏽
I was amazed by the drastic changes in this budget home remodel video. The creative solutions to make a small house feel spacious are genius, and the final result is impressive. It's a must-watch for DIY enthusiasts looking to maximize their home's potential without breaking the bank.
I love so much of what you did with this one, Elisa. The fireplace is so awesome...it really gives the house a luxury feel. I like it better than just painting the old fireplace. The new access to the garage is a huge improvement, as well as moving the washer/dryer out there. In a thousand square foot house, I think it makes much more sense to make the kitchen bigger. The glass door into the backyard also is inspired and creates a feeling of expansiveness to the kitchen. The bedrooms and bathrooms, while small, are maximized with your improvements and they look beautiful. I LOVE the backyard. Losing the shed was a good idea and the yard feels spacious and like a spot where a family would enjoy being together. This was a really good one and I'm not surprised you sold it at a tidy profit. Well done!! I miss Tony...maybe it's time to collaborate on one of his flips?
Hello Elisa, another enjoyable video. Been watching you over a year now so I start commenting. Not sure why I never did. The budgets in your area are 'impressive" to say the least. Thank you for always sharing the numbers with us. Bloopers are fun to watch. Blessings for 2024, Dirty Jersey out!!
This video showcases an impressive budget-friendly home remodel that cleverly maximizes space, turning a compact house into a functional and stylish living environment.
What an amazing transformation!
I'm impressed! The before-and-after shots were like magic, and the budget-friendly tips are exactly what I needed for my home remodel. Can't wait to get started on my own mini makeover!
You're so cute when you scratch your head after doing a blooper 😂
Beautiful transformation, love the outtakes!
Just perfect, both inside and out!
Very nice.
LMFAO I have that exact outdoor sconce with auto sunset thingamabob, Edison orb light bulb, and floating house number font, color and size!!!!!
Love your channel
So fresh
I feel like the front door would go better way with a craftsman style home from the 1920s or 30s. This mid-century modern home would’ve been nicer with a more modern door.
Aleays love your flips! But with this one, not sure about the fridge space, seems far from the kitchen area. Do not care for the fake grass. The home is beautiful, though! Love the interior paint color and wood floors!
Fabulous job! The place was truly disgusting - how could people live like that??? Of course, stunned that a place in such horrible condition could sell for $1.1 million. But this gal knows her business. She turned a dump into an asset to the neighborhood. Well done!
Looks great. What kind of countertops did you use in the kitchen?
Those stones are gonna get caught in a lawnmower.
How do you make 150k when you bought for 1.1 million pluse 120k pluse the selling cost of house at1.45 million 1,100,000+120000+130,500 (9%selling cost) = 1,350,000-1,450,000 is like 100k can you explain this please???
Like like like like like like
What's the square footage of the home and the bedrooms please
OH wait... Artificial turf my bad.
Beautiful but why use the word "tiny" this house is far from tiny.
The house is nice but I don't like the fake grass. Bad for the environment, causes cancer, and doesn't look good. The neighborhood dogs will be peeing on it for sure, and it's going to smell.
Forever watering grass to keep it green is so smart. 👌
Not me. I love the fake grass. Makes the front yard look super clean and well maintained and expensive! 😊
Dogs pee on anything.
I love fake grass. Low maintenance and with the California water prices you’ll save money
@@IAmAPhan you don't have to have grass. I have no grass, only flower beds which use very little water. How much water will you use constantly hosing the dog 💩 and pee off this? Think outside the box a little.
