Is Karachi loco shed THE only loco shed for the whole of the PR network where all locos are homed?. I thought individual cities would have individual loco sheds..
4:02, nice to see the plumes of smoke from an EMD!!.. normally EMD’s don’t smoke even under medium to high level acceleration, but it’s not unnatural to see this happening too. If u thought only alco’s had thick and dense smoke plumes, nowadays even EMD’s do that.. even in the IR network its common these days….
Must say this video for me is great for a different purpose. Reminds me of the journey to Delhi, from Bangalore (my hometown) where I saw only one freight race and as usual since our train was an extremely high priority train to Delhi, we were given the “go ahead”… nice to see this video, thanks for giving me a chance to relive those memories…

Locomotive sheds are at all Major junctions e.g Karachi, Lahore Rawalpindi Multan Faisalabad Rohri Quetta Sibbi and many more.
Thick smoke can come from every Diesel Engine due to unburn fuel and due to lack exchaust management system and Particle Filter. The new locomotive engine GEU 40 and GEU 20 are high emission standard locomotive therefore they dont produce soot

Assalam o Alaikum ,As compare to other Railway Fans movies your movie is quite distinguished, interesting and heart touching as it based on long time parallel action race between freight and passengers trains despite of the present condition of our Railway,s tracks is not so good to face and bear race of highly accelerated trains,
The only GMU I saw with that speed otherwise most of them are slow and sluggish now
