You just need to experiment with your cooking. I was lucky and had both my Granny in Wales and my Mum to teach us, as it's traditional, also had cookery lessons at school and in the Brownies. I think it's really sad that the tradition of passing down cookery skills from grandmother to mother to daughter seems to have all but died out. Everyone needs to know how to cook-because everybody has got to eat! It's a really tragedy that parents gave Jamie such a hard time about feeding children junk food 🤷🏼

i was intrigued, so i had to do some sleuthing. not sure what it's called where Drunkard Lee lives, but that looks like the fruit from the "Japanese raisin tree" (Hovenia dulcis). i never knew that existed until two minutes ago.

It's the fruit! The tree is called Hovenia dulcis. I've also heard it called the raisin tree!

Next time perhaps spray the molds with a bit of oil and it'll make it easier to get the candy out. :) I've never seen this fruit! Lovely way of rendering it down into syrup and candy.
