Pinto just signed a bridge deal for 2 years. That's why they gave away Joseph and his 3 mil. salary. Great signing.
Typical Senators move. We lose in a trade to bring someone here and then we have to throw in a draft pick to get rid of the same guy a few years later. It's astonishing how my team burns through draft picks. And I have no idea how a team that finishes 7th *LAST* needs to clear up cap space. Think about it. Cheers from Ottawađ
Couldnât agree moreâŠ.weak Asset Management for well over a decade now and seems like nothing has changed. Sleepy Steve Staios ainât much of an upgrade over Dorion
For some of you Sens fans (which I am one)..Calm down. Give these guys a chance. Staios is trying to clear cap space for some signings and trades that Dorion made. I trust Staios and Dave Poulin to clean up some of the mess that Dorion created
Itâs a whole new regime now- give them a chance they havenât even had a full year to clean up the dumpster fire they were left with
@@shaynelachance8828Iâm getting there as far as buy in for this management group. Theyâve made this roster better and moved out the two worst contracts they had. Pinto deal is solid. Staios deserves a chance to sort this out. Might take two seasons but the level of dumpster fire dorion left might be the worst in nhl history
@@carbb5760 Should have traded down for another pick and still got Yakemchuk, should have traded down and got another pick if you wanted Elliason in the 2nd and should have kept that other 1st round pick instead of trading for Ullmark because we aren't winning for a long time and that 25th pick would have been important for the rebuild because this was a really strong draft...but nope we traded the pick. This new regime is almost as nearsighted as the last one. Very bad start so far.
Great trade by blues, but we really didn't need more middle-bottom six forwards.
maybe future considerations could slot in as a left wing on the third line, or replace chychrun on the blue line;
Any word on why Staios only got Jensen & a third for Jakob Chychrun? Endless trade talk & build up for that? If I was an OTT fan I'd be concerned about this new regime.

Sens got robbed, gave chykrun away for nothing. Why didn't they wait closer to the trade deadline. Could have got a first.
Yawn. I have no clue what Armstrong is trying to accomplish with these moves. He dumped Hayes and replaced him with two guys who arenât a bit better. This makes zero sense. So much for making room for the kids. Where will Bolduc and Dean play? Another year of disappointing moves by Armstrong
And they have added no nhl ready defenseman...they need 2 d-men bad...
@@edwardpresutti2941 totally agree but Armstrong has painted himself into a corner with those ridiculous no trade clauses. Heâs really hampered himself.
Donât think Bolduc or Dean are ready to play a 82 game season. Would look for bolduc to have 50-60 games and 20-30 or so for Dean. Kappenen, Torochenko, Sunny should also be rotation players.
To start the season I would guess these are the lines. Depending how training camp goes.
Neigh-Thomas-Kyrou
Buch - Schenn - bolduc
Saad - Faska - Texier
Joseph- sunny - toro
I actually like the moves so far.
Kappenen, Faska, Sunny are up after this year, and probably shouldnât return but it gives one more year of development to the prospects.
@@shortypavolka3446 they wonât make the playoffs with this team so they may as well let the kids play. The plan Armstrong using makes them mOre competitive but not making the playoffs either way makes no sense. May as well do a full rebuild and get it done sooner

See I believe Staios takes too long to make decisions and thinks he can do better. Then they lose interest and have to give away players for nothing. His negotiation skills are brutal. He isnât any better than Dorion. We wonât make the playoffs. Ullmark wonât sign long term and Brady will want out and he will give them away for nothing.
