Kibabu and Family at Mogo Zoo

- 36 year old Eastern Lowland Gorilla Kibabu from Taronga Zoo retired to Mogo Zoo in NSW South Coast with his 2 wives Kriba and Mouila and his 3 year old son Kipenzi and daughter Mahale. I visited them in December-13
Kibabu was magnificent silverback, he raised all his sons and daughters to be strong fun and caring characters.
My fave Kibabu he is magnificent 💚💛💚💛.

Yes this is Kibabu who is Shabani’s father, he’s now in retirement at Mogo zoo, sadly he passed away just last year 3 month before his own mother Babydoll who grow up with her human family in England all her life Damian Aspinall was with her right to the end as she passed away.
Dad to Shabani, Haoko, Bauwi, Mahali and M'beli (female). Their mum was Mouila.
I can shabani's personality to his dad hahaha...make sense now
Wow! kibabu was Shabani's dad and his grandma was a female that grew up in England with Damian Aspinall, now that makes sense, as to why he has such magnetism. There were a lot of wonderful influences and kind traits.
