Oh and you will also need a Landing Net, Unhooking pliers, Nylon for leaders, small pair of Scissors, Line sink compound for sinking the nylon, Glasses for eye protection, Priest for killing the trout and bag for the kit or fishing waistcoat, a rod bag would also be good!

Very nice video. Wish you had shown how to install the line on the reel with backing. Yes, you certainly dont need to spend lots to get started. I think 40 dollars at Wal Mart gets you a "kit" with rod, reel and line and some flies ready to go.

Big disturbances attract those fish because they think it’s their liver petted meal being thrown in.
That is such a stocked trout. Rounded tail and very little fight for a trout that size (no acrobatics?)

I call bs. I just got the cheapest rod/reel at my local shop and it was $150 PLUS flies, tippet, and 2 leaders was $202
