Thank you for making these videos. We don't have these cars in the USA yet, but I have learned a lot from you. I still get a laugh every time I recall those vans that have a temperature sensor in the side (wing?) mirror and every time there is any problem with that sensor all the money lights come on on the dash.

Again top service! I can already confirm the problem of oil dilution in Asian cars. We bought a second-hand Kia Sportage (134000km) that was still under factory warranty and we noticed the high oil level shortly after purchase.The dpf diff. pressure was 148mb under load. They said that oil dillution was normal and kept us on the line until the warranty period was over.
When I did an oil sample analysis and also connected an oil pressure gauge to the gallery, it became clear to me that the engine bearings were in very poor condition, 0.6 bar idle when the engine was warm.
Always wanted one of them until I read about the faults. Great job as always Jimmy.

Another great video, I myself have 2012 subaru legacy, the reason the revs drop back to normal is because if you have the temperature in the cabin set to over 20 degrees and you start the car from cold the revs stay higher until it gets warmed up. I myself have had dpf issues and it was all down to garages putting in 5w 30 engine oil, whereas in the cars booklet it says it should be 0w30 engine oil. I've since been servicing the car myself now and all has been well. I've also been resetting my own oil dilution which garage's weren't doing. This can be done without diagnostic tool, if you depress the clutch and keep your foot on the brake start the car release the clutch turn rear demister on turn on parking lights then turn off rear demister turn off parking lights and release the brake do this within ten seconds and the glow plug light should flash 5 times. It might take a couple of tries but eventually you'll get it. I also noticed that when servicing the car be very careful refilling with engine oil I leave mine a small bit shy of full mark, because even if you go over by a little the dpf light starts flashing.

These always used to have a major issue with oil dilution due to failed regen's that knocked out the bottom end.
Your are top man if you came around KETTERING I do have a unit just out side KETTERING pop around for drink mate 👍
You should open your own garage now with the amount of work you have. £199 a clean, £299 for two cleans, get some good men on the team you will smash it. Even I would work for you if you lived in South Wales and I guess many other men would work with you if you pay them well. Open a second garage with shared ownership you will do well I know it people love you and your work.

I have the same problem now, i sent the dpf filter to be cleand complete it was done and fitted back by my mechanic, the regeneration started to work again, but after ca 1000km all the lamps like here poped up and the card did not have proper power like it was drowing/clogged, i did some research and it seams like the egr valve should also be cleand same time you clean or replace the dpf filter. Now im trying to see how to renove and clean the egr valve, would highly appreciate if you have a video or can make a video about that. ❤ i have a subaru outback 2.0d 2011 very little kilometers on always fully serviced at Subaru in Switzerland
I checked how much will it cost me to ship my car from Ireland to you and I got big shock 😳.
Haulage company traveling to UK weekly to collect vehicles from different sites (garages, homes, auctions, ...) quoted me €1k each way that's €2000 without the cost of repair 😳 🙉🙈🙊😠😥😡 now my car is in repair shop for 3 weeks and still not fixed but I refused to agree with them to put new dpf (more than 1k). I never did regeneration to it and they had no proof of it being damaged and yet they told me I need new one😡 so tomorrow I will go to collect it unrepaired and will have to pay them their labour cost. I'm beside myself, disappointed, angry 😠 for not having competent mechanics in garages rather we have threatening mafiosos ripping people off.
I have the A bar for towing the car but it rubs badly against the bottom of the front bumper and not sure if it's safe to tow it all the way to you also don't know if I can get it into the ferry and through customs in tow (regulations regarding towing for long distances....).
I wish you could make a visit to Ireland with your van and put us all out of our misery 😢 as there are lot of people with same problems and no right solution apart from sourcing second hand or new dpf and even that I'm not sure 🤔 if they can clear the dashboard warning lights as it needs expensive equipments with good knowledge which they lack.

Watched many of your videos and they are soo helpful to others. My e220 went into limp mode and I had mechanic perform a regeneration and it was complete but after we went for a drive and it still wouldn’t pass 3000rpm and couple hours after the eml came back on again. Do you advise I take it for a motorway drive as the filter itself is now clear? Any help would be appreciated
You need to fix the problem that's stopping the DPF regenerating on it's own. Otherwise drive it to the scrappy as it'll be cheaper.

Find it hard to believe after all the time they have been fitting this JUNK onto diesels that the garage “ trade” proffesionals 😅 don’t seem to have a clue, But hey they’re not paying, just cashing up on their inefficiency 🤮
Brilliant again Jimmy. It just shows you how poor the training is. Your videos are almost the same thing over and over. Surely this should be on a training course. What you do is not particularly hard. Just some knowledge and experience. Just no proper training any more.
Just take out of these rubbish, its not working for the owner and the Subaru.
