Them euro 4 B7RLEs are absolutely rapid, especially when they've had the gear mapping altered so they rev higher like this, some of First Yorkshires are like this, had their 69340 once going uphill with a full standing load and it absolutely shot up the hill doing about 40mph and was picking up speed while it was doing it
Damn been on a B7RLE and it was just like that, throttle hard down from the driver as it was 16min late at times, and god the acceleration is something else, you get thrown back into your seat!
The driver used 'launch control' by having his foot on the throttle and releasing the parking brake / By doing that is spins the turbo and makes it set off faster from a standstill.
@@selkent8668 had fast track branded seating, was like a coach, no real rattles apart from the drivers cab area. The ZF was singing, especially the whine on idle! I was spoilt rotten as I got back home on a packed Enviro 200 in limp mode, 0-30 in about 20 seconds!
It's not kickdown. The gearbox has been programmed to a more performance orientated shift pattern. We have one in our depot which was even from the same order as this vehicle, and it behaves the same as this.
@@BusThrash yeah kickdown I think on these has a sequence like this: 1C-1L-2C-2L and all locked from there.. This way it maximises revs and performance, this one goes from 1C-2C-2L and on.. Not kickdown, but a performance map.. You can feel a lack of power from when it does this actually, I can see kickdown being quite a bit faster as once it's in like 2nd gear this thing flies
"It's lights out and away we go!"
That was just amazing 😉 the way the B7RLE just speeded like there was no tomorrow
Fastest B7RLE that I've seen. Crikey.
Yeah haha, it always surprises me how fast it is
Those ZF boxes are good! I drove a Lynx years ago with the same gearbox and that was like a rocket

Blimey that got a move on 😳
Amazing video btw 👍🏻 I have subbed keep up the good work Greetings from Birmingham
I remember this during her Southend Days she was so rapid
Great video. ☺️
WOW I am amazed what a bus

3819^^ acceleration was immense, best bus if only it was allocated on my route more often :P
Wow and I thought 3871 Arriva the shires had sounded quick, this one just tops the cake.
Its just so fast! Nothing has beaten this yet :P
Bloody hell! She goes like stink!!!
Steve Woolski indeed she does! Probably the fastest Gillingham bus
Ooooh yes very nice
Very nice!! :D
LVideo1000 Thank you :) was a hell of a ride 😂
It changes gear at higher revs like an older Allison gearbox.
The driver used 'launch control' by having his foot on the throttle and releasing the parking brake / By doing that is spins the turbo and makes it set off faster from a standstill.
Does that bus have hold gears? Wow that sounded incredible!
Man Behind The Camera erm not hold gears as far as I know, it kicks down, but never heard it hold a solid gear for a while
F*cking hell that’s fast!
Omfg!!!! If only the B7RLEs at Wells did this!!! Where can I find this beauty
Kieran's Bus Vids Chatham, Kent! Only one in the area like it though! We have a second, but without kickdown
This is one I simply must chase
it pulls like a bloody train, and sounds like one from that diff. whine :P
Cor’ blimey.
¡WONDERFULL MACHINE!
Had a ride on a 3819, smoothest bus I've ever been on
Michael _Howto&tech Ooh, I’m jealous! How is she condition wise? I heard she still has original seating, and is the ZF loud?

It sounds like a Cummin B Series and Cummin L Series
That sure shifted early in 1st with kickdown, I mean, it was definitely kickdown, but that was a real early shift, wierd...
Volvo knows that revving the nuts off a diesel engine does not make it faster. The 6HP554 in this is a Volvo special order.
RATTI ohhh ok that makes sense, thanks for clearing that up

What route was this?
190 to gravesend
It almost sounds electric lol
Am I the only one that thinks it sounds like a MAN 14.240
Thrashing ☠️
Bit like plaxton pointer euro 2
