This is kaliyuga, no-one is as pure as the previous yugas people. i remember Krishna in happiness more compared to my troubling days. No one can understand Krishna Leela, as our wisdom is too small to understand it..
Hare Krishna! We can have money no problem at all. But we should not hanker for and deeply attached to it.. We can earn and use the money to live in a detached way, but our real attachment should be on the Lord. Here in this story, because of the intense devotion on Krishna, even though poor, she had attachment to her cow. This is called 'anartha', and because of her love for Krishna, Lord Himself came down to remove that small anartha she had and gave her a position in His supreme aboard. So, money is not the problem, but the intense attachment to it is the problem. Janaka maharaj was an empire, however he did not have any trace of attachment on his richness. And the most important thing is that if we have love for Krishna, he will clean us from anarthas out of His love for the devotees. So, love for Krishna is the topmost thing we need. Any anartha will be cleaned by Lord's arrangement. Hare Krishna!
