The Son of Sam case grew into a lifelong obsession for journalist Maury Terry, who became convinced that the murders were linked to a satanic cult. - Zábava
Nobody is appreciating how good the trailer is,,,hats off to the editors
I do. it's truly a masterpiece.
I watch the trailer every time I come across it, it’s amazing

I’ve been binging on these true crime docs on Netflix this one was one of the best ones I’ve seen in a while
I agree. I think it is the scariest one too. The one about Elesa Lam/The Cecil Hotel (crime scen) was really good too.
But this one was excellent - even ghe very last scene blew my mind. Omg.
Check out Robert durst the jinx. That was an extremely well put together documentary
I’ve heard so many times of Son of Sam, the one serial killer who was eventually arrested, and he he’s been referenced so many times in TV series,, so I would have never imagined that twist at the end of episode 1 and all the ramifications that unraveled in the other episodes
Damn
Crime investigation is what Netflix does best. I got basically goosebumps at the end. Wow. Now I'll still subscribe for the next few months 😂
their is a better documentry by martin fido murder after midnight the son of sam parts 1-9 maury terry don't appear accurate by more leading berkowitz than asking the right questions
I got goosebumps when David Berkowitz said in his letter nobody was gonna believe him no matter how clear his evidence is.. it's like the devil whispered in his ears and told maury to back down but no.. people in this generation will now believe him thank god for his dedication
well said! Maury asked questions, nowadays people don't ask and say wait a second, something doesn't make sense. The investigators egos got in the way of looking at the case differently. Frustrating.
He most likely was lying about David being a source of his.
@@gonzolonzo1383 elaborate
Ofcourse a Netflix doc tries to make Maury look crazy when it comes to the cult aspects. Even tho he was right about everything. And ofcourse MSM never let him in "the club", they're run by the occult, same as NYPD. Berkowitz was the patsy, a pawn in the game. Same as all members, except for the elite with power or fame. Manson told us. Dahmer told us. Many others told us, but like Berkowitz said, the public will never believe even the evidence. Too busy worshipping pedophiles to believe they've been duped.... Also, the doc just glossed over Polanski having a "Process" meeting at his house just before Sharon Tate murder, where he conveniently was "out of the country". These ppl are sick and many of us believe. Once your eyes and mind are open, you see it everywhere plain as day.
@@FookU2b he wasn’t right about everything. There were some aspects that made a lot of sense and some that were flat out wrong.
the ending completely blown my mind. i got goosebumps all over my body....
Just finished and wow!! Got shivers down my back from the ending
Guys im too lazy to watch it can u explain what happens at the end? I couldnt find the vid of the scene-
@@cyberduck9022 SPOILER - CAREFUL!!!!!!
- Forensics were able to track down the DNA with modern methods to the back then suspected Security Guard Steven Blake who participated in the brutal murder of Arlis Perry in a Church (Stanford University) which was covered in the series.
The ending shows the Bodycam footage of the police knocking on his door in order just to speak with him. You can hear Steven Blake (72) telling them he is about to get dressed. After a bit stalling the police decide to open the door and realize he has a gun - quickly they move back and ask him to put the gun down - you can hear him ask "why are you doing this?" instantly followed by a shot. He killed hmself.
In his house they found a copy of the book "The Ultimate Evil" by Maury Terry.
@@cyberduck9022 the guy who uncovered the entire story -Maury was called out by the press and the police and no one believed him. In the end David berkowitz himself told Maury no one will believe you so there’s no point . Maury spent most of his life after this case trying to find connections , his wife ended up leaving him because he became too obsessed with the case. It was sad because all the evidence was there , the testimonies were there and still the police labelled his investigation as a conspiracy. But the victims families did believe Maury, all the suspects that Maury found that helped in the murders all ‘mysteriously died’ before he could get to them. Honestly the police was definitely involved in it all and so were the high members of society which is why it’s the biggest coverup.
@@cyberduck9022the security guard who was related to the Arlis Perry murder shot himself in a police confrontation and when they searched his apartment, not only was his dna linked to Perry, confirming the suspicion that he killed her, but a copy of The Ultimate Evil was also found in a box.

Ive lived in Yonkers for the past few years and Ive always been interested in this Son of Sam case. Ive visited the abandoned building and the area in back of Untermyer Park several times just to get a peak of where these disgusting “rituals” took place and where these evil people hung out.... I just finished watching this. I wish that Maury was able to be alive right now to see that his voice is finally being heard. I believe him
I appreciate your comment. I wish Maury was alive, too.
@@10.11.9 thank you ❤️ and yes I wish he can see that theres people who are listening to him now!
I lived there at the time. Friends in that neighborhood, walked the aquaduct. Maury did an excellent job, his book was chilling. Back then, I went to the Yonkers library to get micro-film copies of his articles, no internet. Now I have the creeps.
Yes, he was on to something for sure
@@buickinvicta288 wow thats so interesting. I have heard that many were afraid to walk the aqueduct behind untermyer back then because they had heard of the satanic rituals/seen blood on the walls of the abandoned building or heard chanting coming from there. That is so interesting. Nowadays the aqueduct is basically part of the park and you cant walk there unless you go to untermyer park and the park closes at 6. Also the main building where the rituals took place has been demolished but there is still another smaller one standing and even that one is eerie. That building is called the “gate house”, the demolished one was the “pump house” apparently. There is “son of sam” graffitti on the inside but the park has installed cameras inside so people stopped vandalizing
Just finished watching the documentary. Maury was an honorable man who had one mission: telling the truth! Great doc series!! Great job whoever made this documentary.

And he was right all along. RIP maury, you're voice is finally being heard 🙌
How the hell was he right? He proved nothing.
Released today in UK and ive watched it already! I got into a lot of fights with people both physically and verbally over stuff similar to Maury. People would tell me just to let stuff go, even though they often admitted I was right. In the end, they just want to make you look crazy so you will stop disturbing the order of things. There were so many times I questioned whether or not my unrelenting personality was a flaw and something I should discard. It had ruined many relationships in my life. Seeing that this man was proven correct even after his death with the security guard reminded me that even though people may not like it, that type of personality is needed for this world. I'll keep fighting as he did. I hope you rest well Maury Terry. There aren't many great men like you around nowadays, you give us hope for a better future.
