I do tar you all with EXACTLY the same brush, anyone who races these beautiful dogs for money is tarred with that very brush. Pets not bets, let them be in a loving home. Even if your kennel is immaculate - it's still a prison, does your kennel look like this ladies garden? Why isn't it in your home if you love it so much? Not much to ask for to give to a dog making you money is it? They love to race???? Really ? have you seen the ones that are literally forced into the starting traps by about three people, check any you tube video so you know I am not making it up...have you heard the noises backstage...that's not the sound of happy dog, its stress and as most are only raced twice a week, then even if that is true, they only get enjoyment twice a week, also as for the one thousand (that the greyhound board have admitted to ) that died on the track last year, I don't think they enjoyed it. Do you know every track legally has to have a freezer for the ones who die on the track or the "vet" has to put down. They love to run, yes, but my grey chases things in a huge enclosed area on the White Cliffs, running free.. not around a track!!!!! Then comes home to my house and garden , not in a kennel, not matter how fancy it is (which I don't actually beleive you for minute) Anyone who bets is a sad loser who should get a job. I know, because before I found out the truth of the greyhound "industry" and that's just what it is an "industry" I worked for Ladbrokes, all betters are losers, but the dogs lose the most, particulary when its' their lives. Trust you to spoil a lovely post, but, hey, that's the kind of people you are. Go away and let the rest of us enjoy this post with kind comments. As we all know the industry is about to fall now people know the truth, so we won't have to listen to you anymore and the dogs will be free, Hurahhhh!
You should have taken off the leash and let the dog explore the new home on her own. You will be happy to let her free in your home. The dog will be happy to have a caring home for the rest of his life.
People have the misconception that a greyhound is a hipper active dog ,nothing could b further from the truth . A greyhound is a sight dog and a speedster . The do require a fenced in yard. or to b on a leash while out side , cause if the spot a rabbit or a squirrel or a cat while outside , they while speed off after it , and heaven help u if ur on the end of the leash ! Other than that , they are couch potatoes. Who love attention , and tend to bond quickly to their human " pack " Sadly for every one that is rescued many more r put down . @@acptelford1307 the van be traced with their earmarks - and yet people who say they e “rescued” them won’t give them details over as they can be traced and their history will be on record, so why don’t they do this, I tell you why they don’t because they make money using greyhounds for their own gain, you can not just dump a greyhound - it’s bullshit, get the “rescue” Centres to send earmarks - you’ll find they won’t - now why is that? Now the Rehome Center’s take in exracers to Rehome them they work with us and we pay into that system, people liked caged and other greyhound antis do not and cannot prove they do either - so where is the money going - ask yourself and do your research- you will find a true horror story - then groups exploit greyhounds without them they wouldn’t have a “donate donate” button on their sites and pages, they refuse to work with the Gbgb - ask why -
*they can be traced
@@flytipvillagelivingthedrea8366 My simple question to you is this." What is your reason for greyhound racing to exist?" Because people like a flutter? Because you make money out of it?
Very nice
Keep the dog, lose the husband! 😂
Aw hey now
Cindy Brodie your comment made me chuckle.
I agree.
For those who adopt a retired racer ..thank u for saving a gentle soul !
Hey bossyan behind the camera....dogs don't want to be patted while toileting. They are vulnerable and don't like to be bothered. A pat and praise are appropriate afterwards.
In your (not so) humble opinion. Maybe put some content up of your own (I see you have none) and let's see how the experts do it.
@@roastchicken9143 I do have a behavior page, being a certified animal behaviorist.
@@nydiawhite5442 Ok, now's your chance to share it, as you are claiming to be an expert. And if that's the case maybe phrase your comments in a more professional and constructive way and leave out vaguely derogatory terminology like "bossyman".
@@roastchicken9143 bossyan wasn't intended to be vague. It was in response to the way the camera operator spoke to the woman with the dog.
@@nydiawhite5442 You don't know either of the people in the video so why would you pressure to pass judgement from a position of complete ignorance? It makes me think that even though you claim to be "certified" you lack any ability to think and speak rationally. As I said before, why don't you demonstrate your expertise in some tangible way rather than sniping like some child.

Lots of walks ahead
so lucky dog did not bolt when opened car boot at first
She is used to being in a crate. And they really aren't the kind of dog that bolts.
They aren’t dogs that bolt haha they get from stand still to 40 miles and hour in three strides
@@susanmercurio1060 we fetched our retired greyhound home, stupidly I just opened boot like that and he was off, no recall, running rampage round streets, if he had not seen a cat and chased it back our way, he would have been hit by a car,my friend dived full length and somehow got him, you need a collar and lead on ,someone on back seat and hold the dog, till you get the boot open and can then be passed the lead, my dog ducked under the door like he was coming out the traps, in time they will learn but first day home no way
@@marcored2472 : Oh, I'm sorry. I stand corrected.
When we first got Anubis, I accidentally let him out in the yard without closing the gate. He walked out, looked around, and, thank goodness, just stayed in place. He also wandered into the garage during a home reno project. We called him "clip-board doggo" after that.

Nice

Parabéns 🎉🎈🍾🎊
They had her in the TRUNK?!?!?!
She's a lovely girl. You can find her race history on Greyhound-data.com.
OK, I think I will stay.
I already feel so sorry for this dog! The owner is a foolish control freak
🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗😊
Did you let go of the leash?
I'll give you a pat in a minute mate...
Omg let her go 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Couch is kind of small, where will the people sit? :)
