I don’t think she was supposed to be goth, she feels more like rock inspired??? Also, there’s a dusk big sis coming out and she is definitely going to be goth lol. Her clothes are very on trend rn so I can see why they designed her like this.

I personally love Spicy! The pink in the makeup really picks up the subtleties in the clear pink vinyl in the jacket and the pink nails, and I love the symbolic horns in her hair with the red streaks on the sides of her head that are pulled up into the ponytails. Much better than a literal horn headband or something for me, lol. And those PANTS!
Spicy Babe is probably one of my favorites in the line. Her hair style reminds me of anime and I love the black and red in her color scheme. The turtleneck is also a great piece in my opinion. And I happen to be a Sagittarius as well, so there's that connection. I'm excited for Dusk's sister as well, as I love the midnight blue and black color scheme dusk has as well as her goth style. Honestly, the goth OMGs are the best ones.
I also really wanted to love this doll, and I still like her, but I agree that the color pallet and some outfit/accessory choices could be tweaked. I'm definitely going to give her black lips and darker eyeshadow, fixing the pink on that purse, and giving the accessories a painting upgrade. I think some little changes like that could make me love this doll a lot more.

I personally love her. My favorite between her and Sweets. The entire aesthetic is mixing Red, Black and Pink. Personally, I like it. BUT if Red and Pink aren’t your thing, you’re definitely not going to like it and that seems to be your direction haha Even the hair is a shade of pink, not red.
I definitely have seen people in fashion circles either HATE or LOVE a red and pink color combo. Personally I dig it.

I love red and pink, but I think the most off putting here is the shades of pink and red, it should be either more scarlet red or magenta pink for the color scheme to work better. The hues are wrong, not the color itself
I think it’s fun! I dunno, reminds me of a devilish Vamentine’s look (these would’ve been a perfect set to release for Valentine’s Day). I wish they would’ve given her a headband with horns and Sweets some wings. I get more of an angel/devil vibe from them so I wish they would’ve leaned into that aesthetic instead of watering it down with candy and peppers.
The half of a heart off the front goes with Sweets to make a full heart. They are BFFs. I just bought both yesterday
What I like about the extra waist clips is that they're different sizes. So if your doll is wearing a coat or something like Sweet or B-Gurl then you can use the bigger waist clip...
I would've loved her to be a scorpio, just like me! It's said that scorpios are kinda devilish and revengeful when they get mad (can't confirm, lol) so that would've fit her really nicely! From what I know other zodiac signs are less "evil" 😆
I think they went with sagg because it’s a fire sign. And spicy is like fiery you know?
I like her but she is sort of plain. Nothing about her hair or make-up or outfit really pops. But since I like dressing and making outfits for dolls, she is more like a blank slate than some of the other OMG dolls.
i hate the color combo of pink and red I think it flashes too much sometimes, especially when there is a lot of it, I feel if they got rid of pink and leaned more toward navy, the colors would compliment each other better.
the pink/red color combo is one of my favorites - it's only fairly recently become "acceptable" in a commercial sense. maybe a larger block of pink rather than tiny accents would have communicated this better?
I also noticed that Spicy Babe looks a lot like Disco Sk8er... Like all the dolls have the same face mold but the makeup on each doll is so different... But I feel like Spicey Babe and Disco Sk8er are very similar makeup wise... The only difference is the hair.

I actually love the pink accents!! I bought this doll right away!! I totally get where you are coming from. But that’s something that I love! There are so many different dolls out there because there are so many different people! And something that I love someone else won’t and the opposite can be said as well. So I don’t think you are wrong! But for me I’m so In love with the pink 💖

I got her! I got her, I got her. I didn't like her at first because of the red coloring. But then she really grew on me after seeing her again and again in pictures. By that time, of course, she was not in stores and I really could not aford her because of my job situation. Today, I got a chance to get her on a super great sale...In person, she is even better. Love her.

Overall I Love her, but I think she should have had black shoes. The shoes blending with the pants is weird. She also should have a high pony instead of the pigtails.

I don't mind the pink. I think she would look a lot better without those pants, though. I just don't like it when the top and bottom pieces are too matchy matchy you know. When I get her I'll give her some kind of a black skirt and fishnets. I think she'll look 100% better.

I was waiting for such a lot time for a punk, rock, black hair OMG and when I saw her I was like OHH YES HERE SHE IS but when I look at her better I didn’t understand why but I was like “Oh, um, no ok next time maybe”. I was so confused about that my reaction but now everything is more clear! Of course she’s cool (even if not as Sweets) but not was I’m dreaming!
Pants should’ve been black and I would’ve totally loved a black lipstick!

What can I say, I agree with everything you said in this video. It's almost like they had to split the budget between the two, but someone decided to put more time, and money into Sweets, and gave Spicy babe the short end of the stick. Sweets looks like a work of art, and like someone put a lot of time, and love behind her while Spicy Babe looks rushed. At best Spicy Babe could be described as a bunch of floating ideas that didn't come together very well.

Yes I want these dolls to not be blind and fully dressed that would cut down on some waste with plastic hangers, hat box & shoe box & would probably lower the price point since $26.99 is a lot for a doll like 4 dolls is already over $100 - it’d be less cardboard too if they weren’t blind boxes I know collectors would love to see their faces - our Major Lady & Miss Royale both had face defects which is always a stressful bummer. If they packaged these cheaper with less waste then maybe they’d give us fashion packs 🤷🏻♀️🤞🤦🏻♀️🤗

She is a beautiful doll and love the red pants and jacket but totally agree they should have stuck with the red and black colours and not used pink on her lips and nails and bag, also agree the turtle neck takes away from the collar and the collar away from the turtle neck. She would also look better with some more darker goth style make-up. But still love this doll and would definitely get them both. Love your review 😍♥️

I love both of them, I'm more partial to Sweets because her clothes are so precious. The main reason that I added these two particular dolls to my collection is because they fall under the same astrological signs as my Grandson (Aquarius) and Granddaughter (Sagittarius), a perfect pair.

Yeah I agree. Choker with a turtleneck is not it. Also the weird bright pinks really make the doll look disjointed. I wish there was also more black in it honestly.

Personally, I think the pink is fine, like it was supposed to be coherent with the outfit in the sense that they put a lot of red with the clothes, and then dispersed the pink a little all over, so that we would see pink not in just one place, but also reminders in other places, if that makes sense. So, I think the concept was fine, but I also don't like the way the outfit was planned? Like, the red was in a big chunk in a way, with the entirety of the clothes, but then the pink was on the little things like the lipstick, the nails, and the bag, and for me it looked out of balance. Like I said, I think that it wasn't necessarily the red that broke the aesthetic purposes, but the color placements and balance instead.
Looks like they pulled a bit of inspiration from the Nita and Nora Bratz Babies Dolls. This doll could be their older cousin if Bratz and LOL crossed over...
Loving this doll and my first thought was that she would make an absolutely amazing Abby from NCIS doll. Just find a mini farting hippo and get a giant caf pow.
However some of the things I would change: first off I would have done some chunky black boots with buckles instead of the red boot on red pant, secondly I would have loved a dark maroon or even black lip and nails, I think the top could have easily been a crop top and it still could have looked great under the jacket and with the choker, lastly I think her hair needs something although I'm not sure what but currently it's falling flat on personality.
What I love about the doll: The jacket and pants are amazing, I am especially digging the lace up faux leather pants. The entire concept of the doll is something I love about the doll. I like the purse but not with that doll. Another doll and it would be a stand out purse. I too love that they used navy in the stand color and hat box. Navy is a very pretty color and not one you see a lot when used in toys, especially "girl" toys.
Overall a great concept but maybe a little more refining and she would be perfect. I do think that it is easy for dolls to try to do a goth inspired doll to be edgy but just not go too far for fear of pushback from parents. Like you can be edgy but not too edgy, just up to the line without stepping over.

I really like the pink lipstick because it helps to brighten up her face plus it matches her eyeshadow. The choker is kind of awkward but I view it as an extra accessory if her clothes are switched between other dolls. I like that her hair stripes are not super red, almost like the coloring has faded. I do wish the boots weren’t red but I still like them. I am in love with her jacket! I don’t exactly get goth girl; definitely more of a metal chick vibe (Halestorm, Jinjer, etc). Honestly, she’s one of my favorites. She could totally be Rocker Boi’s twin sister!
Also... that compact opens. Seriously. Get Kaiden to help you if your hands are being jerks. Because it is the cutest thing!
Don't like the criss-cross on the pants. That being said, PU leather pants for OMG dolls are very cool.

Because the dolls came out around valentines day. I saw them, and asumed they were kinda like semi friends/valentines looks. The Spicy one kinda gives punk Valentines because of the use of pink with red and hearts. I think the look is cute, if it was recolored in certain spots or small changes like the body suite being a solid V neck or pony tails/maybe her hair down. I love the pants but it would also be cool in shorts or knee highs. But if they do fashion packs. Spicy's shoes would ve great in other color variations

Hi mommy I don't colloct lol omg dolls but I love watching the unboxing videos. As you put both dolls side by side I looked at spicy babe instantly because she gives me the rocker/heavy metel vibe that I see in lessoning to and following the bands that I love. So I love spicy babe, she is also giving me they MGA were inspired by the one peice orginal 1st Barbie and monster high Dracolora doll look to me as well. I again don't colloct lol omg dolls but i love watching the videos of doll collectors who do

I think I figured out why Spice is pink + red: Sweets is pink + blue; blue and red are color opposites but pink brings them together; BFF colors 💕

You should try putting her ponytail cuffs on her ankles, kind of like shoe accessories. That's what I did and I think her outfit looks better that way. I agree that Sweets outfit looks more cohesive than Spicy Babe, but I think that with Spicy Babe they might have been going for a "Sleek" look. The pink also kind of bothers me but I understand why they used it. For Sweets they used Pink, Blue, White & Gold and for Spicy Babe they used Red, Black, White and Silver, I think MGA used Pink because if they used more White it could distract too much from the Red outfit which I believe is the focus. Pink is still a shade of Red so it's still cohesive without taking attention from her Red outfit. If they had used anymore Red she might not look balanced. It seems like out of the 2 Sweets stands out more because she has more obvious detail but I think if you take the time to see that they each have different styles you can appreciate each one.
Huh. My Sweets came with a messed up hairstyle. MGA Customer Service informed me that these were "play" dolls, not meant for collectors and they would not replace her even though her blue tendril is placed lower and obscures her eye completely. I'm not a picky doll person. Except for Sweets. So beware all you collectors out there. Because of the blind box packaging, you may get a defective doll for $26. Sorry, I had to vent as I have collected MGA products since their origin. My Bad Attitude reeks, but there it is. Oh, and thank you for your reviews

If i would buy those two, i would paint Spicy Girls shoes in a shiny black, would put tiny studs in silver on them and would paint nails and lips and the pepper in metallic red/black.

I like her buuuut i'm concerned about the plether of her pants surviving. That material always flakes apart over time. The jacket is awesome but I feel like maybe the whole ensemble is a bit too much red. Maybe black pants with red detailing would have provided better contrast? I'm inclined to get her a short little black skirt or something instead. With the hair cuffs you need to wrap another bit of elastic around to hold them in place. The pink hot pepper looks a little rude _> lol.
