Sound test: • 2024 Dodge Hornet - 6-...
This video was filmed with in-ear, binaural microphones, so if you listen with headphones, it will sound like you're sitting in the driver's seat!

The main problem with the Hornet is that it's basically an Alfa Romeo Tonale that's been stripped of much of its substance to cut costs.
And somehow manages to still be overpriced!
Rental companies buy these because they get good incentives on them
Charlie, When I think Hornet, I think AMC Hornet Sportabout wagon. In its day it was considered America's finest compact wagon.😄
I have a friend that works for Enterprise. All the companies are taking advantage of the federal tax credit. $7500 off, plus incentives, plus rental revenue, then sell it for KBB at the end of service life is pure profit.
I’m not surprised to see a PHEV. When I rented from national rental a few weeks ago, there were tons of grand Cherokee and wrangler PHEV models available. We grabbed the GC and from day to day we charged it at my family’s home so it was super efficient , but outside of that a plug in hybrid is not the move
Avis fleet sale price, fed $7500 and NY state registration for that NYS $500 PHEV rebate.
PHEVs look good on the books as a green option
11 gallon so people forget and they can charge you $8/gal when your are in a hurry and rushing to leave.
Will get to play rental roulette at the LAX Avis in August! Currently reserved for a Standard Preferred, but my understanding is with preferred, you can pick whatever’s in the row that you want. So 🤞🏻 they have something half decent there.
Are you sure you wouldn't rather have a '99 F-350 with 332k miles? ;D
All the rental companies are doing that now. If you go to the Emarald or Gold Aisle, they’re packed with small crossovers. Most of the time it’s fine because Rogues and Rav4’s are pretty roomy. but idk, a Hornet substituting for a fullsize is not quite comparable.
With 11 gallon , you get ev experience 😂
"Manufacturer obligations"...such as?
Is a GT model worth it at $10K off? They are selling so poorly, I've seen some advertised this cheap... making me consider trading in my Rogue.
Ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, I don't even recommend the good Stellantis products (Grand Cherokee, Ram 1500, Pacifica) these days due to reliability fears. I'd pick a CPO RAV4, CR-V, or CX-5 over a comparably priced new Hornet GT.
And to your situation, I'd hold onto the Rogue. Rogue is good
Buick envista works of been a good choice
This has 4 way lumbar but a 50k Crown doesn’t?
Never start a review in bad faith.

These vehicles have a very troubled history.
