Not much has been done about The Confederation, so this was interesting.
As a Canadian I chuckle at the term Confederation. When Canada was created in 1867 the political process of the provinces coming together was called "Confederation".
The other chuckle is that the resulting country was "The Dominion of Canada".

The design, the story, gave a deeper insight of their timeline (not an alternate universe) with an explanation that's better than what the entire season 2 of Picard gave us!

The exterminator class is my most favorite looking ship of all that I have ever seen so far. It looks like it is truly made to chase people down and like the daleks say "Exterminate"
This is a beautiful kitbash! And I absolutely LOVE the Confederation's mysterious and rather scary background. I wish we could get a spin off series set in the Confederation Universe where we basically observe the galaxy from a very evil view point (like with ST Enterprise's 'In A Mirror Darkly" episodes).

I've loved trek for longer than I can remember. I always look forward to your starship videos, your narration and storytelling are amazing! My favourite Trek stories are the alternate timelines, what might have happened if things were a little different, like the Confederation timeline.

It would be a interesting fight. The Terran Empire supposedly was equal in firepower to the Federation at least by Late TOS movie era with a few more guns here or there on there ships and more beefed up energy use, visually the ships looked the same however. A few specialized ships had the best stuff however, and rank had its privileges, the higher you got closer to the Imperial Crown and to the Empires more likely extremely rare Imperial Flagships.
Confed is a extremely different beast. They are about extermination, not really conquest. So unlike the Terran Empire who at times can perform a full on war if they have too, but prefer conquest, Confed ships are all about total war, decimating your fleet and planet then dropping some more nukes on your world to be sure, and the ship designs reflect that. They have enough weapons to make a Terran Empire ship jealous. Don't think they were as advanced however. Got a feeling they were technologically inferior to the Federation and possibly the Terrans by a couple years or so, but made up with that for more practical designs, a crap ton of different weapon types, and heavier armour for the ships with sheilds likely being a little weaker and weapons maybe a little weaker. Vger likely being the event that gave them the tech boost needed for Movie era and TNG era weapons.
Gotta a feeling a battle would go with the Terrans blasting high powered weapons but at the normal rate no different than the Federations, well the Confederation is pretty much throwing everything from Torps to missiles, Phasers, and anything else at a faster rate basically to just wipe out the Terran ship. Gods help the Terran ship if Confed finds alien crews as it would give them justification to invade and destroy the Empire and Confed appears closer to modern Earth in Total War mindset and military views. .
@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics i would say a draw, you know sooner or later the known cruel gods of the multiverse Writter and Editor, would throw in the Federation into the mix or possibly a forth group tentively caled the "planetary alience"

That would be a little difficult wouldn't it? By TNG a sizable majority of the races were exterminated or enslaved so maybe likely the early period during the TOS era of there time and Movie era.

Outstanding, Man! I think this video is going to be one that I get lost in, watching many time. Story, as always, was excellent but damn Dude, hell of a Kitt-bash! Yeah, I'll get lost in that design, trying to figure out all the elements. I think that I counted four different franchises too. Star Trek of course, Babylon 5, Star Wars and Starship Troopers. Am I right? Give me a hint, how many different ship elements did you use? I want to find them all. Excellent job, Man!
Awesome kitbash! You should do more like these videos but I also think you should do videos about the different Federation technologies from the different eras. I think those would be good additional video content.

My biggest problem with the Mirror Universe was always aside from the Stupid Evil characters that the ships are literally just Reskins of Federation ships. They should be much different like the Confederation ships because they're designed with a very different philosophy.

Hey TAS! Longtime viewer here. I'm always tuning in to watch/listen to these videos, as I love your take on Beta Canon! I have an idea for you. Are you familiar with the Bethesda Star Trek games from 2006? I've recently gotten into them, and I've already seen ships from the ENT era which I don't think you've covered, such as the Strider Class or Minuteman Class. If you have, I must've missed them. I'd love to hear your thoughts, thanks!
I absolutely love the confederation version of the Excelsior! But really dying to see their version of the Sovereign class starship I propose it be called the "Reaper" or "Supremacy" class
Very nicely done! Interesting design with the kitbash. Your modeling skills are growing by leaps and bounds! The imagination is a powerful thing, and is enjoyable to watch. Here is a question, what would a Federation fighting capital ship look like without the red tape? All species give Starfleet ship designers no design limitations for a capital sized warship? Yes we do have examples as the Federation class starship failure, but more like the Sovereign class or the monstrous Odyssey class. Maybe even like a Battle carrier? Something big enough to carry 2 or 3 modified Defiant class ships in a special hanger and deploy when they arrive?

I want to see the original Eradication class. And the NX. The Destroyer class (Ambassador class) would also be nice. Also other Confederation ships like the Confederation version of the Cerritos, Protostar, Defiant, TOS Defiant. And the CSS World Razer-E and -F.

With ships like World Raiser and Executor taking care of First Contact situations, what kind of ships would represent the Confederation in their 2nd Contacts (Lower Decks) Situations? I imagine something like the Painfully Annoying Class fitting the bill, ships like; Triple Root Canal, IRS Audit, DMV Renewal. I am sure there are plenty of situations that would lend their names. 😅😂
just thinking of the federation/starfleet came across a dimentional ripe/wormhole that led to confederation universe.
Possibilities are endless!
When looking at the confederation and designs like the exterminator for example and of course the World razor D. I notice that they fully Utilize the saucer to house as much weaponry as possible compared to say terran vessels.
Like what we see on the C.S.S. World Razor D for example is so many weapons housed within the saucer facing forward. Giving them extremely heavy firepower for frontal assault ironically ( for STO fans ) Obliviating the target completing and heavily damaging it.
I wouldn't be surprised for the early constitution classes if the iconic frontal weapons were hidden. In let's call it Edges of the scauer and not as visible or say close compared to the C.S.S. Exterminator and Later world razor like vessels.
In STO for example on other ships but for the SNW variant of the connie. Dual beam banks fire from the 2 small windows on the Edges. While yes that was a design by developers.
U could say in the confederation timeline those single 2 windows would probably house. Something like mega phasers. And wouldn't be windows but give the impression of the ship not being as armed but really those say fake window slits would slide up to reveal heavy weapons ports for say early small yes.
But early Lance's or mega phasers similar to the later confederation designed ships but with this would be on the outer edges still able to fire forward but safely tucked away and in a sence be slightly more stealthy not by much but just a bit.
But such weapons would take up a lot of space. phaser turrets would be visible and used. judging from theses wonderful designs for the confederation ships you and your team make I think it would be a brilliant idea to explore in a future video. And would allow an...understanding on what confederation doctrine was like for the 23rd century of this timeline so we know what.
The TOS/SNW looking World Razor was like before she was refited into the World Razor A.
I would suggest if you do it to make it a 2 part video or 3 parts.
I’ve been playing Stellaris with a Star Trek mod and the confederation sounds exactly like my empire, we have only made friends with 3 alien empires to gain territory and technology but their fleets are inferior and I’m thinking of invading them, I hope that sounds confederation enough because I like this seperate universe.
I like the Exterminator Class star ship but can you provide more design details? People need to know about the weapons and where everything is on the ship. It would be great if the whole ship design layout completely described! 💯

Interesting divergence between the Excelsior-Class and your hypothetical Exterminator-Class. I'm guessing that the World Razor-C is a Confederation version of an Ambassador-Class called something like the Atomizer-Class?

my perfect federation would be a mix of confed and prime where its mostly prime but they dont show mercy to those that attack the ( romulans, klingons , cardies ect) they would offer surender and the treaty would nerf them and make their enemies stronger

You should really start doing your own lore on your own ships. I like your kitbashed ships and having lore for them basically expands the Confederation's lore which lasted for like 2 episode.

Does the CSS World Razer's registry being NCC-2101 imply there was a CSS Enterprise NCC-1701, and it simply wasn't historically significant enough to merit a legacy?
No, my understanding is that the World Razer took the place of the name Enterprise, and Enterprise was never used! The implication here is that there were FAR more starships constructed for the Confederation then For Starfleet, Hence 2101 instead of 1701!!

Yeah I always looked at the Confederation as another parallel universe. Q took Picard into one that wasn't as mirrored as the mirror universe. Just as JJ Trek is another parallel universe.

The Confederation is pretty unlike the Mirror Universe, the Mirror Universe still has most of the Prime Universe's starship designs because it's been described as a "dark mirror" effect, where as the Confederation is a whole new timeline were ship designs are entirely different and new, think the meddling of the Kelvin Timeline but more extensively different.
Great design and I would love to see a Classic Connie class getting this treatment!

Interesting ship and story. I don't like alternative timelines or universes because it confuses me sometimes. But you did a fine job here. Only 1 thing, the hanger in front- shouldn't it be like a bank of 6 torpedo launchers? Just a thought.

The Confederation was an alternate reality, while the Mirror Universe is a parallel reality. The Confederation came about because of a historical change in the Prime Universe. The Mirror Universe exists in parallel with and is independent of the Prime Universe.

@@TriAngulumStudiosAudioComics if one did come over from the confederation universe and I was in charge of section 31, I have my people reverse engineer it, and put the ship into our own Section 31 fleet. 😊
Except that didnt happen, and besides, Section 31 Tech is 100 years more advanced then Federation Tech, so chances are pretty good their starships in 2260's would already be more advanced then this design! :P
