Thank you. - Zábava
This shows that much training went into how the Roman army performed their task.
Perfectly plausible
Hi gents, is it possible to show how the strap is attached to the shield? Does it just loop through or is there a ring? I used rope initially and then tried a leather strap. I really like your system and it seems to make the most sense tactically. Great video.
In Episode I we show how it is attached. Through the handle.
Awesome!
Great demonstration!
love it - the instructions about using the strap length reminds me of the safety briefings on an aircraft before take off :-)
Robert Le Mal haha, yes. Tried to keep it simple.
Glad I watched this. I thought it was about something else (mind in gutter, due to misreading a word), but non the less, very informative. Thanks for sharing.
Had to watch with closed captions. Couldn't get past the extreme Michigan nasality. :p
good job
Lawrence May thank you!
I have a question: What kind of leather are the straps made of that hold for example the sword scabbard (or the one that fixes the scutum at your back)?
Hello, we use vegetable tanned cow hide for these applications. Most of them are 5-6 ounce leather, 7-8 ounce can be used too.
@@legio14gemina66 Thank you! That was very helpful! Greetings from Germany!
Your in Legio XIIII’s home. A lot of the legions history there in Germany!
@@legio14gemina66 Ah yes! They participated in returning the eagles that were lost in the battle of the Teutoburger forest, I think. I visited some battle sights here and there...
Hi patrick
May I ask where you bought your scutum? I really want a high quality one, such as fabrica cacti's, but they're all so expensive :(
Brandon Tea the scutum in this video is a Deepeeka blank with a modified handle and painted with our emblem with milk paints.
Mirificum !
I guess the back of the knee does not hit the bottom of the scutum.
John Dingler not with this system and it raised to the correct height.
Very nice demo. @@legio14gemina66
