I work with three, four, and five year olds and we have had only one kid say a bad word. He said damn. It’s not the worst word but it’s not the kindest word either. I work at a Christian school so we teach our students about being respectful, and kind to each other and to teachers too. But the way Charlotte reacted is not a good way to react. The bigger you react the more the child will say the word to get attention. If you hear a child say a bad word you need to tell them calmly please don’t use that word. It’s not a very nice word to say. Didi did so well not having a big reaction when she was in the room when Angelica said the word. I know it is quite shocking when a small child says a bad word but the best way is to remain calm and deal with it in a mild manner.

I could also point out that, for the Two and a Half Men episode, it would suffice to say that Charlie couldn't be honest, even if his life depended on it.
