- In 1987 the Kentucky Railway Museum ran a several day long excursion through eastern Kentucky with L&N 152 and Monon BL-2 32. The video starts at Lyons Station on the Lebanon Branch with the train on the return journey to Louisville KY. The second part of the video was shot a year earlier in 1986 on a promotional trip from CSX's Osborn Yard in Louisville KY to the Museums Site in Anchorage KY and return. This footage was shot by then museum member Alan Kempy special thanks to him for capturing this historic footage of L&N 152 running on the mainline as well as Mike Kley for giving me the opportunity to go though his collection of home movies and videos that he and Alan made. Thanks for Watching.

Thanks for watching love watching your videos as well.
Enjoyed watching this. Thanks for putting this up.
Was really hoping to see Parksville in this video..... So close.
I remember the first time I saw Louisville & Nashville 152 was in Geotrax: My Day with Trains in the live action scenes, along with Canadian National 7312 (As Strasburg Railroad 31), Union Pacific Challenger 3985, Canadian Pacific Royal Hudson 2860, Nickel Plate Road 765 (Mostly as Chesapeake & Ohio 2765), Union Pacific 844, and other trains too.
I love L&N #152! This excursion is a great train to set my eyes on!
I remember when I first came to Lebanon Junction, Kentucky, was back in summer of 1982.
Awesome train spotting 🚂 steam is the best 😃
I spotted one of those old hotbox detectors on the LB. Did it go off? Haha.
Kentucky railway museum
Do you have any more footage of 152's mainline excursions?
I need to look again,maybe.
What a great video,is 152 still not operating at the KRM?
Thanks for Watching, The big thing was waiting for the money from the federal grant the museum applied for the boiler and running gear work. Now that has final happened they are going through the process of getting bids from qualified contractors to do the work. Progress on the restoration of the locomotive is going to steadily increase in the not to distant future.
@@scenicrailproduction7290 Louisville & Nashville 152 is pretty cool. It was one of the six steam locomotives that I remember seeing in Geotrax: My Day with Trains in the live action parts of the film.
Fire up 152
