For the story with the baby shower: divorce him. IDC how much they care about the father in law or if they are you against female birth but it’s outdated as fuck and no mother deserves to feel like her daughter is unwanted.
For the story with the disagreement with the mother: yes. He was under drugs. Not in his right mind. And just went through a surgery. Anyone who doesn’t hate their mother would think to call for their mom at that situation. To feel offended he didn’t pick you is just selfish. The dude has enough to deal with to care about your petty fight with his mom.
