Very fortunate to get tips from mom while I learned n watched her doing things. Belive me almost all I follow for all these years. In those days mom would collect cooking waste in tea vessel after tea was done. Thank you for your tips so that next generation follows them.

Thanks for the tips Jaya....keeping water handy in a jug before starting the day's work in kitchen is a good idea. Soaking rice and lentils is a common practice in India I think, but I wasn't aware of the scientific added benefit of it, so thanks for sharing that too.

I never thought of the water thing but I love that idea. I will try it and see how it goes. The knife I can say is so TRUE!
Enjoyed watching the video! I have been using the same practices since I started cooking. I try to keep the ingredients ready before I start cooking so I don't have to open refrigerator or the cupboards often.
