How exactly do you go about putting a trash bag in your trash can? Would you have thought that most people do this completely wrong? In this video, I'll show you how to do it right and what to look for!
Because up until now, I've also always torn my trash bags off the roll, then shaken them up, stuffed them into the trash can, and then wrapped them around the edge. But actually, this is done quite differently.
Because you actually start by putting the trash bag over the edge first, and then you push it into the trash can. Because that's how it's meant to be done by the trash bag manufacturers, and it's also the much easier way to do it. When you do it for the first time you will notice how easy it can be to put a garbage bag into the garbage can.

I find it easier the old way.... you don't have to fight the air in the trashcan. I actually drilled two holes in my can to allow the air to escape....much easier
So glad that Im not the only one that has thought about holds in the waste bin! Fighting the air pockets and having the bag pop off because of it is such a pain. X

Just shake it out like normal but then grab it from inside & pull it so it's no longer inside out. Then put in trash can like normal. Maybe I'm crazy but I swear since I learned they are inside out when u grab it off the roll the trash seems to distribute more evenly at the bottom. Before the corners are folded in since it's inside out so trash never seemed to go where it should. Crazy I didn't know they came inside out for damn near 40 years 🤣

Maybe manufacturers should stop producing these inside out.

Заправлять так не проще из-за воздушной подушки, которая получается под пакетом и с которой придется побороться 🤦. Ну вот меня это бесит больше, чем встряхнуть пакет. А какой стороной засовывать вообще разницы не вижу 🤷.

Да без разницы. От смены укладки пакета в ведро сам он на помойку потом не побежит.
1-й вариант даже лучше, там хоть складки разгладятся и пакет ровнее в ведро ляжет.

That's also wrong. You place the whole roll into the trash receptacle, unroll the first bag (from the outside), and then cuff open end of the bag over the top edge of the container. When full, tie the top, pull it out, tear it off, and cuff the top of the next bag beneath it.
This is what I was expecting from the video 😅
But what about when you get that weird bin juice at the bottom? I have bought all ranges of bags from cheap to expensive and even heavy duty. They either tear or somehow it just seeps through. Now your whole roll is covered in gross sticky stuff

I do it both ways.. for my big can I put them in the "wrong" way and for the small ones I put several in at once the way he demonstrates because then you don't have to change them as often..just take the full one out leaving the others behind...you could put one for each day of the week in all at once.

I do the same thing !!👍👍🙂 It also helps if for some reason the bag leaks(it's happened to us all😉) there's another barrier to catch it. You won't have to wash out the trash can🗑. Really helpful if you live in an apartment & have to wash it out in the bath tub.

That's exactly what I thought for so long! I actually seen it on TikTok a year ago. I just reach in the bag & pull it right side out & then put it in the can like normal. It really does make a difference!

Keep the roll of bags in the bottom of the can. It hardly takes up any room, and you always have the next one ready.
And your bags will smell like trash and possibly get all sticky if a bag breaks. Ten you have to touch the nasty bags. Also is a pain in the ass if you need a trash bag when the can it full. I hate when my mom used to do this lol

The "Wrong Way" has less air in the can tho vs the "Intended Way" witch leaves half the can filled with air. Pushing ones trash up an out sometimes. I'll stick to the "Wrong Way" thats just as fast an No Air build up. Thanks tho.
If this is the correct way to put binbags in the bin I find it funny, as to my knowledge none of the manufacturers instructions tell you which way you should put them in.

I do this garbage bag method for decades. Another time-saver, if you put several bags over each other in the trash can, then when you fill the top bag, take it out and viola, there is another bag ready. You don't have to tear another bag and put it inside. You surely don't know that you can thank me later.
I gave a thumbs up because of the link to the video on why we should light a match on the toilet.
Another tip is keep one new bag at the bottom of the bin before u put a new one on and u don't have to go and get new bags out

I saw a custodian pull a trash bag into a long carrot shape and put the point in toward the bottom of the can. No wrestling with puffy air around the top.
The sealed seams are actually stronger if you do it this way with the seams inwards especially the bottom seam !

This is not the case in Belgium. 1 side of the bag is pressed with instructions which must be on the outside.
And yet, somehow I have managed all this time anyway...

Put a small hole in the bag towards the top. It lets the air in the pail escape. Makes getting your moneys worth a lot easier. And doesn't cause any issues, as long as the bags not total crap. In which case, if it was, you were likely to have problems anyway, long before that. A custodian showed me that years ago.
Why go to the extra effort of making a hole in the bag? Just don't seal the bag all round the bin top. Untill the bag is in place in the bin then the air escapes through the gap.
@@grahamsmith9541 some receptors can be quite big, and quite snug when your working as a custodian, and getting all that air out is an extra hassle you don't need, when a simple small hole will do. We're not talking all just Pales at the foot of a desk.
In the schools, where he worked, they had all kinds of sizes of trash bags. Some would be completely impractical to fight with, getting them to open up, and spread out.
The benefit of the hole means the parts of the bag that may not have opened up completely right away, would be able to open up as the bag starts to be filled, as no air is trapped, so it can expand freely.
