Happy Bidoof day leonhart
Hi
Yes, any jobs going?
How many times did Leonhart say "uh huh" in this interview? That is my question 😁
Who was the original artist behind Evee and his evolution
When you will have guest like this again, they should open at least one pack :O!
Co ty tady děláš Jakube?
Good 💡
Wow, the video everybody needed, but nobody knew. Well spotted Leon, youre a true creator and contributor. Much respect
Lol easy there
Oohh hi Q
How's it taste?
@@spicy6892 I was going to ask the same thing haha
Sjovt at se dig her eq
Leon is saving Pokémon history with his vids.
Yeah ur right tho But i wish the seller in our city here in Philippines will sell us pokemon cards soon❤️😏
Wow it's quite rare that I actually find these sorts of guests interesting, but this was actually really insightful into the early years of a legendary company. Great content!
Man I really wish Wizards of the Coast was still making the cards, that era will _always_ be the *best* era of Pokémon.
Yeah I think gym hero’s was the bedt
if they still did it would not be how it is now. Everything happened for a reason and im glad it did.
I definitely think more interviews would be interesting. Keep it up!
They need to have WOTC make Pokemon cards for the 25th anniversary!
They wouldn’t be able to keep up
They do.....there reprinting the base set venasuar and charizard. Plus reimagined
WOTC cards with newer gen pokemon
@@RocSandy WOTC isn’t the ones printing them. They’re just re prints of WOTC cards
Plot twist, WotC comes back for 25th Celebrations set! 🤯🤯🤯🤯
@@finn4485 yea I know
that was really cool hearing her story about parents using the cards as bribes like mine did, i really didn't realize parents around the world were doing the exact same thing..makes the 90's an even more nostalgic memory to revisit. thanks dad and ma.
I could watch a 3 hour podcast of her just telling stories about WOTC. So cool!
💯
She is so interesting to listen to, she's so excited
Talk about a living legend 🙌
This was actually insanely interesting. She’s a real OG…she knew a lot about the company and shit. Very cool.
The Genesis of two of the most impactful TCGs in history. So cool and it’s always fun to get a peek behind the curtain of amazing ideas and see how they come to fruition. Amazing content and no one is doing it like LH! Truly has a passion for Pokémon that is unmatched 😊👏👏👏
That is like Royalty sitting next to you playa. Unreal. The stories that woman could tell. Leonhart keep it up
Amazing amazing amazing interview!! Truly incredible to hear behind the scenes information of WOTC and Pokemon in general! 8:51 its crazy that shes the reason I got to buy Pokemon at my local hobby store when I was a child.. for some reason this interview brought me back to very nostalgic memories. More so than many pack openings Ive seen recently. Was a pleasure to watch this.
I can't believe there's so much to pokemon😍
Crazy right they're literally is millions of things I always thought there was only 150 like the original OG Kanto and then I started collecting about a year ago and yeah not even close
@@jimbo6249 agreed 👍
this video was great! Thanks for having the guest on to tell us all the great stories
This was really cool that she agreed to the interview. What a neat story, loved this!
Hope we get another Interview with Carol, Loved the Stories. Want to hear more
These videos about the history and the backstory of it is so cool. My childhood was Pokémon and it's awesome to hear my childhood from this angle.
I am not even into MTG but I am really thinking about getting the two cards she modelled for because she is so awesome and I love cards with a story to them. Great interview
Wow, nice to meet this lady. Someone that actually worked for the company that did such awesome things.
Oh my gosh. She may not think she is famous but I want an autograph and to sit down and chat with her! That is so neat!
I'm watching this now and I'm finding it hard to hear her. Her voice is so soft. I can hear you Leonhart clearly. I had to turn up the volume just to hear her but then your coming out very loud.
Maybe in the future have a mic for the other person or sit closer to the middle so we can hear everyone clearly.
Still a cool interview & she seems like an awesome person. To believe in a company from the ground up, so awesome.
Pre-internet pre Y2K
It was a great time to discover Pokemon and I was so happy to experience it all in the beginning this last 5 months has been a nostalgia fever dream
That was some awesome detail with the fact that she's the person in Rubinia Soulsinger legends card art. That's one of my absolute favourites and this is some interesting detail for me as a Magic's legendary creature card collector. Very nice vid and I hope there will be part 2 with her stories!
This was a fascinating and very insightful interview! I could listen to her tell stories all day.
With the content you make, we are watching Pokemon thrive and become so much more than ever before. Thank you for everything you do for the Pokemon community.
Magic (and obviously Pokemon) has been such a constant presence in my life, especially growing up in the 90s. It's amazing to kind of get a glimpse into how the company behind it was started compared to how it is today! Awesome interview!
I met a worker at CVS in Hurst,TX. He said he used to work for WOTC. He mentioned he worked at the warehouse in Grand Prairie. He said the semi trucks that were delivering the cards were heavily guarded because people tried to hijack them before. Crazy!
MAN I CAN LISTEN TO HER TALK FOR HOURS. it's game card history man!!! I look forward to more interviews. thanks for this!
Always so cool seeing these old employees and people who were directly apart of pokemon come on the channel. Incredible.!
This kind of video is a real treat. So much cool history she was a part of.
Really enjoyed that thank you to both of you
These kinds of videos are honestly so interesting and different from what other creators put out surrounding Pokemon, it's so cool and a great way of archiving this history and these stories!
I miss WOTC and the nostalgia around it, I wish I could go back in time to enjoy it all over again
SHE HAS CARDS WITH HER FACE ON IT, THAT'S SO COOL
Honestly, what a great video! That SD is truly passionate about WOTC and her story telling is spot on being Free flowing and pure fun. Leonhart great job as an interviewer allowing her to tell her story without ever jumping and throwing her off track (sounds like an easy task but it really isn’t) 🙌
Her personality is totally addicting! She seems like such a nice and laid back person. Great video, Leon.
This is the type of content id love to see more of
Every time you shook those boxes I couldn’t help but just imagine those cards edges getting dings.
What an insight into the early days. I am absolutely loving this video! Incredible job setting this up Leonhart!
Now this was content. Good job Leon
I really enjoyed watching this, it definitely bought back memories.
Thank you so much for doing this video. It really meant alot for you to take the time and look for these people that were involved in something that is so close to all of us. Instant thumbs up button press!
I would gladly clean up any room in her house, detail her cars, walk any pet she may own, mow the lawn, cook, and do her grocery shopping for a base set booster haha. My mom would bribe me with cards for chores as well.
How awesome! Thanks for sharing this awesome history with us. Couldn’t be happier to be apart of an amazing Pokémon community!
She is pretty awesome and has stories for hours. Great interview. Looking forward to more.
So cool Leonhart! Great to learn about the other side of things! Thank you
I would really love any card signed by you, but other than that, this video is so amazing!!!
Awesome interview!! She seems really cool and I'd want to be her friend haha
I miss WOTC! Especially their holographic cards
IKR?
You can still collect them. Modern cards are more expensive then alot of wotc lol
That was freaking EPIC!
Really cool to have that behind the scenes story of not only Magic but Pokemon tcg just hearing how it came to be was truly AWESOME 👍🙌
Daaaang that is so cool. Such a cool guest, hearing about the early days of both Magic and Pokemon is fascinating. Also happy Bidoof day
I want to see her Arabian Nights collection
Just sat here on myunch break to listen to this. I'm always so fascinated by how a company had it's upstart. If you could ever do a part 2 or even other employees that would be awesome.
This was actually really cool man. I usually just watch your 95-1999 Pokémon openings but it was a cool story to hear. Maybe think about doing more. She is a great example of taking a jump and flying.
I’m going to comment on this again. This is top 5 videos ever posted. Thanks for the collab’s!!! No one else has this kind of stuff very special
That folding cube that was brought out really quick was so nostalgic!
Hard core magic players would love the first 5 minutes of this!
I will watch a documentary of how Pokémon started with like some never before seen footage in the warehouse and stuff
THIS IS SUCH A TEASE!!! lol I have seriously been waiting and wondering why we’re not seeing insiders like her pop up and do a deep dive in the early days of Pokémon! BUT longer not 24mins!! Lol 😂 I mean thank you Leonhart, but you gotta invite her back and do at least an hour podcast style with her because you know she has so much more to tell!
Such awesome content Lee, nice work. I know she left in 2000 but I wonder if she kept in touch with people who were there till the end of WOTC. Would be cool to know if they had any sets planned after Skyridge in 2003 before they shut down.
Such an amazing guest!! She seems like a great person 🤍
Whoa!! Can't wait to watch this! Love the guests you get on this channel! Keep up the awesome content!
That was an awesome interview! I remember using my allowance money to buy packs during the Wizards era.
Ah Carol is so awesome! Such an interesting and personable insight into her time and involvement at WOTC. So glad she came on the show! Nice one Leon! Looking forward to a part 2… ☺️
You know you're cool when you're actually on not one but two magic cards!
Such an incredible insight by a wonderful person! Thank you so much- hype for the Hartsquad!
She's 100% a legend!
Awesome stories! She would probably be one of the people that could definitely let us know if there was an actual Riachu Prelease stamped card printed.
I don't know that, but I know someone who might. :)
So awesome to hear so much about the beginning of Pokemon cards and all the stories. Thanks for the continued fantastic content.
Leon putting his former litigation skills to use. The connections this guy has ⭐️
What an awesome opportunity to hear this wizards share holders story of it all
This was a really fun interview, thanks for sharing.
Great interview, working for wizards would be so much fun!!
Super cool video!! You might want to mic up your subjects in future videos, she was a little quiet at times. Closed captions and/or boosting the audio a bit might help as well. Beyond that, I'm looking forward to more of these! This is really cool and adds some variety to your channel. Cheers!
This was sweet, id love to see a video of inside a pokemon warehouse like cards being printed and packaged
This is such an amazing insight! I’m surprised they haven’t mad a movie out of the start up of Pokemon, like in the style of the social network etc
So down to earth. The real stories behind the myth. Nice
It’s funny listening to how the business operates so casually in the beginning. Blizzard was similar, the original Diablo battle net server running off a single computer.
This just made me look back to the year 2000 on the dot actually where my mother, myself and my cousin went to the (What was Millenium Dome, now O2 Arena) I didn't care much for the trip at the time but I do remember being way more excited to get a few pokemon card packs from the motorway service! Was such a lovely memory
This was cool. She seems like a very nice, interesting person.
Dude you have no clue how much your videos bring me joy
Leonhart "tell us the history of pokemon."
Snorlax in the back "......whattt did you Sayy? I got to be awake for this!"
Like the bit of inside information!
Great stories about how the TCG started in the US and the history behind what we have in our collections today!
Fossil was my favourite growing up. I would LOVE a first edition Fossil box. 😫 great vid Leonhart
Amazing interview! Glad you could get her to come talk!
That was an incredibly fascinating interview. Thanks for sharing!
That was a awesome video! Would like to have her back on the channel some day for more stories! :)
Simply incredible man, just awesome 👌👏
That was a really cool interview man! Can’t wait to see the other ones! And btw you’re a dang good interviewer too!
Keep up the positive vibes man! Love watching your stuff! You got me back into collecting cards!
Luckiest man alive! Great to have this community to share all this ❤
it would be nice if there were subtitles in this vid bc i can barely hear her even with the volume up all the way on my laptop. that and i have a hard time processing what ppl say sometimes. Love the video btw
Great video Leonhart. Keep up the great work. Love these videos.
Never knew my hometown Grand Prairie was the main location for the WOTC warehouse!! thank you leon for this video
this could realy become the next Witcher meme, with all the uhuh and hmmm , aha.. XD
