  • @superwowman100
    @superwowman100 Před 10 lety +29

    I remember playing WoW in late vanilla-BC. When i had finally gotten to level 20 i didn't know anything about Shattrath til i saw talk of it in trade chat at Stormwind, so I got a mage portal there and i saw all sorts of crazy flying mounts zooming through the sky, and tons of horde and alliance interacting with eachother and walking around on their merry way. It felt like a real, lively city. Something i dont think could be captured in wow again. You could argue dalaran, but Dal feels alot different from Shatt.
    Being in Shattrath during it's glory days was a very unique experience and it's a shame it's been reduced to a ghost town because all it's uses were taken away (i.e. the only city w/ portals to everywhere). I wish they could add more to it like Dalaran so it's still alive. I have never had so much nostalgia and lvoe for a game before, good times.

    • @balriel7229
      @balriel7229 Před 10 lety +1

      Yeah, it's a shame. Even though certain areas are low level, I don't think Blizzard should dismiss them as much, cause a lot of work goes into them.

    • @unrealeck
      @unrealeck Před 10 lety +1

      Shattrath will be back in the next expansion. But I'm not sure if it'll be a hub like it was before. It'll also look different.

    • @superwowman100
      @superwowman100 Před 10 lety

      unrealeck
      Yeah im aware of that. It wont be a hub; we get alliance and horde cities again instead of a sanctum. How epic they'll be compared to shatt? idc, but i'm sure they'll be epic.
      Def better than those dingy old Shrines in the Vale that are a far cry from an *_actual_* city like Shatt or Dal.

    • @unrealeck
      @unrealeck Před 10 lety +2

      *****
      Well either way I'm interested to see what it looks like. The WoD site says it's a large city or some shit so hopefully it'll actually be like a large city. Like Stormwind size.

    I remember going through Outland, it felt like such an adventure after vanilla WoW. It felt so original, so different. Blade Edge and Netherstorm did nothing for me though, but those first four zones were amazing.

    I wish i could relive the moments i experienced during this time in WoW it's so hard to put into words for people that didn't experience it. I never even knew what WoW or a MMO was I just had a friend that mentioned his sister and her husband played so me and my friend decided to check the game out through a trial version. I could not believe what i was witnessing when i started to play it blew my mind. The first time running up on Ironforge seeing the city and the words Ironforge, Alliance territory just made it apparent I wanted to be a part of that world. I remember my friends sisters husband running us through Sunken Temple teaching us what aggro. los, etc was I was such a noob and it was amazing! My god i wish i could capture that feeling again! I have been done with WoW for a few years now but ill never forget the impact it had on me and I made some of the best friends I have ever had on there.

    Classic WoW remains the best imo in terms of what it managed to convey to the player, the feeling of unknown and mystery, excitement and a sense of achievement everytime a new challenge was overcome. The expansions brought too much, too fast and all in a rush. It's sad that the new new new expansion will get rid of a beautiful game.

But, at the same time, I neglected a lot of my real life and my real life friends for something that, at the end of the day, is pretty much fruitless.

    If you've got WoW installed, you can open its music [ audio ] MPQ files with an MPQ editor program, easily found on the net. From there, you can extract anything from the game files.

    i think since having a lvl 80 is kinda busy in terms of having raids or friends to accompany... it would be easier to lvl an alt up to 69 or 70 maybe & just have him stay in outlands to do all the lore & dungeons... cause this place is so beautiful...& along with the music is even more .. what an incredible mind whoever thought of this place & kind of world

    @Belzeboob,
    Yeh after classic, BC was still really challenging, we had to do aloooot before we finally could do some heroics and then wipe wipe!! Raids still needed attunement so we had to do alot of quests before we finally could go Karazhan.
    Besides the challenge I loved the atmosphere and the lore, it was a fantastic experience. WOTLK was still beautifull, also with epic lore, but the challenge was mostly gone.

      +Artu Datu Nope, what ruined the game was that fucking dungeon finder; the person who designed it needs a fucking holocaust with me pissing on his / her urn of ashes.

    The Draenei and Orcs were the inhabitants of Outland BEFORE it became Outland, back when it was still Draenor.
    Blood Elves are native to Azeroth; they just have a strong presence in Shattrah.

    "tear trickles down his cheek as he stairs at the WoW book of memories" I don't have much of a choice "looks up at a big armor plated dragon, sorry but you aren't shit to Illidan and Lich King" BC and Wrath were the pinnacle of my wow memories. I don't get any enjoyment out of cataclysm so i'm walking away "opens the book of Guild Wars 2" Lets hope GW2 can dish out the memories of a Newb.
