I got the guitar at 18.
It has traces of blood and a tear ... it does not look to pretty.
I once gave it to a pawnshop when I got thrown out of my apartment in my collage ... not awww ... blame yourself ... I could not pay the rent ... nothing aww ... haha ..
There was a note on the door and I was terrified to tell my parents about it ... so I thought, I bring the guitar to the pawn shop ... it cost $ 1000 when it was new ... and I thought I would get $ 1,000, pay my rent and everything starts again ...
I gave it to them like here it is ... yes ... and they said $ 200 ... and I said shit ... and I did it and went home crying.
I thrown out of the apartment anyway, but still had to tell my parents about it and had to tell where the guitar is that they had given me for my 18th birthday ..
Such is the life of a performer ... .it is incredibly unglamorous, ugly and you keep asking yourself what can I do to pay the rent, what can I do to feed my children? ... and what is to come?
I've had so many friends who have gone the most different ways ... One of my roommates at collage was hustler ... he called us together at some point and told us ... just so you know ... there will be phone calls around 2am and then I will go away and I will come back a few hours later and I will never bring anyone here but only you know that’s what I do, that is my choice ... I need job security....
