What better way to introduce my latest addition to my collection of guitars than a Pink Floyd cover?!
Taken from the album 'Delicate Sound of Thunder' I've decided to redo this cover of On the Turning Away, now with a Fender with whammy bar.
Sound, just from Logic Pro X (Preset called 'Arena Ready' which I modified a bit).

This solo seems to be a lot more complicated than I would have thought. You handled it well. Respect!
For some reason Gilmour's solos are very naturally to me. But I'd say his late 80s work is on the rather technical side, never leaving the emotional side of course! :)
OUTSTANDING !!!! Smashed me in the feels ..To nail Dave Gilmours style you have to feel it, it won't work any other way and you then have to have the ability to transition from slow bends to incredible speed still feeling the notes you hit ,that's what keeps you in tune .....You have got all of this Santosh ..best of luck ...blown away ..you are an incredible guitar player sir!

Playing David Gilmour's stuff is nice, but playing my own stuff is nicer. You might hear some David Gilmour influences however..

Yes, indeed! The best performance by far. And I have watch all CZcams covers of this song xD. If I may complain about something is that the tone could be improved. You should check Francesco Carpentieri channel (czcams.com/channels/Hrr3aa2Wteska76DY3S3ZQ.html), who I think has accomplished the closest David Gilmour's tone (Francesco has based his setup and gear following gilmourish.com tips, but has take it even furder and better). Hey there, how exciting! I remember when me and my dad drove 1 hour (in Belgium that's considered far away) to buy a second hand guitar starters kit - still have it! Broke a string within an hour and had no spare strings. Don't let any setback stop you, it might become your biggest passion!

I used to jam pink floyd with my dad when i was a kid. This song reminds me of him. Those solo notes are like no other. Spot on Santosh. Its a slightly different sound when played at home but it makes a lot of difference when you hear the studio version one too many times. Keep it up brother, youre fuckin awesome

It was my dad who introduced me to Pink Floyd, so listening to Pink Floyd reminds me of the time my dad was telling me the story of 'The Hobbit' over a classical version of 'Dark Side of the Moon', performed by the London Philharmonic Orchestra. Those were good times. :)
The studio version is top notch Gilmour. It's such an underrated solo as it's full of small details, amazing whammy bar actions, incredible bends.. Thanks, you too! :)
