At 3:54 ,I guess Gurudev knowingly or unknowingly contradicting what some of the the organised religions say, "be content with what you have".... Don't have intense desires and all.....This is against will of god etc etc... I guess, Gurudev makes so much sense here... Many enlightened masters like Osho Rajneesh, Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev have also spoken in these lines...
Whhen the religions say be content it means that one must not be greedy after material things and be content with what one has, and when the masters say dont be content and strive for the ultimate, they mean that now u have curbed your materialistic desires, now you can strive for the ultimate realization. So its not contradictory basically, its just complementary to each other.🙏

Please understand that most of the organised religions don't talk about any self realization.....In fact, they don't even have such concepts...Actually it is against their fundamental principles.... Have you heard them talking about consciousness or awareness ever???.. Do they have any methods or techniques to work on our consciousness and awareness as in yoga??.. No... So where is the question of striving in organised religions, as you say??? .. Their only way is to worship some unknown entity without questioning and believe whatever stuff written in their books.. That is all.... Even when you want to strive, how do you do that???.... Their method is basically rooted in unrefined/blind forms of belief and devotion... Can you practice devotion!!! .. If you practice it, you will be in a deep state of illusion and deception.......Anybody with some understanding of devotion knows this, neither it can be practiced nor it can forced... It has to happen... It is a rare flower..... So there is no room for striving in organised religions..... So when they say be content with what you have, people take it literally in both the realms, material and metaphysical, because the very question of striving doesn't exist for them... It is only gurus and yogis talks about self realisation, not the religions...
@@sijojose7931 perhaps you haven't read Bhagwad Gita, Upanishads or the Vedas, they do show us the path to realization.
@@thespiritualomnist.. I said majority of the organised religions....Don't misunderstand.. .. ......I have great respect for Bhagavat Gita, vedas and upanishads.....Because it is pure wisdom... But, see, only a very few people could follow such wisdom in its essence because it offers no solace to anybody.. What most people are looking forward is solace.... So sooner or later they will get into devotion than wisdom... .....Again, when you read vedas and upanishads, there is a risk of you becoming knowledgeable without actually knowing what it is......By reading some scriptures, however, holy it is, at the most, you become knowledgeable, where is the question of knowing, I am asking... Can you point out any one in this whole history of humanity, who just by reading holy scriptures has attained!!! I don't see any.... It is like a science teacher or maths teacher becoming a great scientist or great mathematicians....... They will spent their entire life in teaching only, they are not going to invent anything new.....They are very much knowledgeable, but to invent something out of it, you really have to experience science or mathematics, which seldom happens.. Just look at the history and see it yourself... .....It is not the knowledgeable, but the people without any proper scientific or mathematical background have contributed most of it... Why....Because when you are not cluttered by this so called knowledge anymore, you suddenly got the eyes to see... ... This is what happens with scholars of spiritual literature as well... No experience.. Just playing with words...

Study the lives of the Masters from India. Ramakrishna, Lahiri Mahasaya, Swaminarayan, and Paramahansa Yogananda were the recent Incarnations of God. Sri Aurobindo, Trailanga Swami, Swami Sivananda, Anandamoyi Ma, Ramana Maharshi, Swami Rama Tirtha were some of the recent saints. Study their lives, read their writings, compare their experiences, realizations, feats, miracles and teachings. You will get a glimpse of what true enlightenment is. It is not just a little mental or psychological experience.

The real reason for finding enlightenment should be an altruistic sympathy and compassion for all who suffer Compassion is the mother of all Buddhas

As someone who is already enlightened I won't call it bliss
Another perspective!...Enlightenment is "knowing" that you are never not-enlightened! Since you can never be away from experience, you are always experiencing Enlightenment but you don't know it (you simply forget it or ignore it). Removal of ignorance in the mind (or remembering your true nature to re-member) while mind is active is what is needed. Study of Vedantha with the help of a qualified master/guru can set you free!

The Mahamaya Buddhist says Enlightenment comes only when there is a deep compassion deep feeling for the misery suffering which exist in the world Enlightenment may not come when seek enlightenment it should be an altruistic sympathy for all suffer

Yes, an enlightened person will never say it.
Yet Sadhguru does say it. Sadhguru is an intelligent conguru.
("Sadhu" means ascetic; yet he has enriched himself and has indulged himself at the expense of others. After death he will probably go to the hell called Maharauraya.)
Sadhguru often disposes advice which usually do have value but the irritating factor is that behind his deliveries there is a thin yet definite coat of an UN-extinguished ego radiating a semi-hidden yet sickening hubris.
Gurudev, please comment on my remarks. My objective is not slander but seekig the truth and opening the eyes of some whom Sadhguru has deluded.
