She walks up to the microphone and in a quiet, almost shy voice will say, "Thanks for coming out tonight, I hope you like this next song" and then WHAM!! - Out comes the huge voice growling away. She reminds me of Prince in that way - huge voice on stage and then he would sit down with Arsenio for an interview and I would go, you're kidding me? Its the same person?
Who is mother nature?? Sue, works for perfection every show and records. Close your eyes and just listen to her. She can play that Les Paul and sing like nobody's business . I've seen all the great blues singers, Susan is one of them. Derek and Susan love each other so much, makes it easy to be great together. Both great people.

Hard to listen to Trucks after his style changed years and years ago. Too bad. I recall a ABB concert at Pine Knob where he played a Paul and was terrific. Susan playing a Paul! I recall seeing her open for the ABB. 2001 or so. Fender. She was worth seeing!
