I purchased it on this big billion day 2023 in 24k. And after 13 days of hard usage in day to day life without any dought i refer this phone to for best flagship experience. And not worry any of issue regarding battery and camera because it is optimized well like up to 50k category phone.
Lastly i said if you want to truely flagship experience every time you take your phone in your hand than and your budget is between 20k to 30k than no phone gives better than moto edge 40.

For pip lag you should try enabling "disable hardware overlays" from developer settings. I have a poco m2 pro with custom ROM, it had the same pip lag and after enabling that option it got fixed.

It's not about the MP camera,it's about sensors and optimisation.
And it talking about moto,it doesn't optimise it's photos in a good way,better to use gcam or Leica softwares.

To anyone wondering to buy this phone, it's excellent for normal day usage like calling, watching social media, 5g reception is also excellent on this device as i take a lot of calls in office and at home.
Camera's are kinda meh,
Avoid if you are looking for a gaming phone.
While charging it gets "warm" not overheating which is expected as it charges at 68 watts.
UI experience is really smooth for me till now, no complaints.
Bhai, is it value for money? I mean , every phone has some drawbacks, but they should be priced accordingly. Appreciate your feedback

Main issue is the battery of this phone it should have been 4800mah at least because of 8020 processor which is 6nm if it was 4nm then the battery was fine.

Regarding the Refresh rate, if you set to Auto it won't go to 120hz. It'll stuck at 90-60hz only

That's the thing with most of the phones actually!
Phones are set such that they automatically prefer battery instead of smoothness!
If the brightness is set to more that 75% then it will shift from 60-120Hz otherwise it will not. And on game you have to turn on 144Hz seperately from game mode overlay.

I was looking at the reviews and images of Motorola Edge 40 on Flipkart and I saw that some people who bought the phone were complaining about the moisture or water vapours inside the rear camera sensors which is something that no one would like in an IP68 certified smartphone.
And I was also looking to buy this phone but after looking at the reviews, it left me in doubt.

Antutu version 9 score is 550000
And Antutu version 10 is 750000 👍
Even im version 9 its at 750000 but AnTuTu Has problems with detecting 8020's GPU

And if you observe carefully, most of the times 5G is getting only when you are holding the phone and 4G+ when idle. This phone is actually getting 5G++ in Hyderabad some areas with 1Gbps speed ✌️✌️
I have many complaints for ultra wide angle camera at night.
Also 4k video with UW camera has more frame drops..
In day time main camera has lack of details when zoom in.

moto will never include their own dialer, their whole brand appeal is we can give pixel like stability and software experience at cheap. I have used Moto g40 fusion and moto edge 30 ultra. Both are really good phones. they should start with 4 years of security updates.

Hi... Motorola Edge 40 has a Call issue.....if you call in maximum volume without loudspeaker, then receiver end Persons voice will get echo...but if you decrease the volume then echo Problem not coming

Sir I am face a bug in my Motorola edge 40 and it happened 2 times with me but when I restart the phone it fixed. The bug is when I phone is on screen lock it is totally black page is open but and I can't get my fingerprint sensor but when I swipe down I can control the settings
