It’s a game bug not a mod. Simply approach a red light and when it says service failed, quickly save the game, then go back to the main menu, go to saved game on the main menu, then when you come back in you’ll be able to crash the train without that black screen appearing.
The only thing I hate about derailing is how quickly it goes to black screen
