- Join us for a ride on the amazingly well themed Dragon coaster at Legoland Windsor Resort UK
The 1998 coaster was build by a relatively unknown ride manufacturer called WGH Transportation, they also build The Dragons Apprentice in the same park and also Rhombus Rocket at Fantasy Island in Ingoldmells, they also helped with the rebuild of the famous Scenic Railway at Dreamland in Margate UK
The Dragon coaster starts off as a well Theme dark ride with huge Lego figures including a massive Lego dragon and then the rest of the coaster continues outside with 2 lift hills
This is so nostalgic for me. The first few times I went here when I was eight I was too scared to go on dragon. Now I have progressed and stealth thorpe park is my favourite roller coaster.

I’m 10 and I went to Thorpe park a few days ago (two weeks) and I went on stealth and I only just turned 10 on the 14 of July I also went on Colossas
I went on it when I was eight I loved it
I remember being terrified as a kid to go on this, and just watched my dad and older brother go on it. When I finally went on it I couldn't believe how fast and good it was, but obviously now I'm an enthusiast it seems like nothing, though this is still a great ride, especially for young me!
RaZoR EmBeRz I am absolutely terrified of roller coasters but once I’m on them I love them! X. Any tips for not getting nervous about the so called “ build up “ ?
I mean the best thing to do is to try and look forward to the ride and know what to expect if you're too nervous. I got over that fear by telling myself all I have to do is sit in a seat. But just remember roller coasters are designed to be fun and enjoyable.

I don’t really like rollercoaster would you say this is a fun and good coaster to go on
I remember figuring out that the back row was more fun than the front row because the drops were faster. In that way little kids do, I thought I was such a genius for stumbling onto that and went around telling everybody because I had to share this new knowledge. The POSITION you sit in it makes the ride experience DIFFERENT. Has anyone else figured this out!?

Loved going on this ride but I hated the long que.....
I was a pussycat for the dragon and characters tho...
God this takes me back. That queue just to get on was insane.
this coaster absolutely traumatised me when i was younger. But who’d’ve known that roughly 10 years later that id be enjoying the likes of icon at blackpool pleasure beach
I remember being scared to go on it at first. But then I manned up and went on it and it was the the most fun I had ever had, then I ended up going on it 5 more times 😂 it didn’t even get boring. Except every time on the second drop I would put my head down because I felt like I would whack my head on the front of the tunnel 😂

It is relatively tame for a rollercoaster, but it still caught me way off guard (by not being on thrillrides for many, many years since my teens really). The experience put me off going on the brand new Minifigure Races roller coaster (LOL).

I have been on this ride before and it was fun 😊
One time when I went on it we got stuck in the middle of the outside bit and it started to rain lol; we had to get off by going down the stairs.
Can remember as kid going to legoland on a rainy day, and there was hardly anyone there. Was great though as we were able to go on this as least 10 times with no queue waits.
I can’t wait to go tomorrow!

If we're talking progressions, when I was 7, I was scared to go on 'The Rhino' at West Midlands Safari Park, but braved it and loved it, and then went on this and loved it... now I'm a 33 year old enthusiast and my number 1 coaster is Intimidator 305 hahah

Ah the memories... I remember when i was 10 and going to England a second summer in a row, and going to Legoland riding this coaster, i remember how much i loved it and begged my mom to let me go again. It's just like i remember it, it was almost two decades ago now, two years after it was built apparently

I remember the time I went on this ride, I wasn’t scared. Being stupid, I screamed anyway for the speed. From then until Tuesday, my throat hurted SO much!
When I was 6 or 7 or 8 I screamed I didn't like it but now I am older I probably will

Yesterday I had a field trip to legoland. I went to that ride and I have acrophobia. Omg. It was awful. I was about to faint!
When I first went on this ride I was like 7 and I was so scared then after one go I forced my family to go on it more, we went on this ride 3 times in a row. Now when we go to legoland it’s the first thing we have to go on.
Went here yesterday. As soon as we reached the outside section it began pouring with rain and on the second drop the rain was slapping our faces and it actually hurt 😂
After we got off staff members in night costumes and with wooden swords ran out into the rain and started fighting the rain with the swords and singing "rain rain go away" and dancing
2 minutes later the rain stopped. Thanks nights LOL

I'm going Lego land tomorrow and I'm going on this ride first I hated the first time I went on this when I was young but it's time to face my fears
we absolutely loved this ride we went on it three times we highly recommend it

Ninja Potato ...The dragon? How can someone be scared by that coaster, I remember going on it years back and I didn’t know it was a roller coaster but I still found it fun. This can’t possibly be scary to anyone right?

Elliot Copeland it's just a bunch of kids who are trying to act cool. Probably would call runaway mine train (Alton towers) a big ride, though I do love both coasters. It's not just you lmao, we need to get these kiddos on smiler or swarm haha
Emilia Lily you realise when you're young this is really scary?? Plus rides like smiler and swarm are far too scary for some
The whole ride was fun. Only the Lego models at the beginning startled me 😂

Do you have to get permission from the park to film on rides for CZcams? I've looked online and the terms and conditions have an email and help site for filming for tv programmes but there is nothing about CZcams
The UK theme park channel unfortunately filming at all of the Merlin parks is banned (mainly the coasters) therefore if you email the park and ask you will be told you can't film !! However if you hide your camera/phone in your pocket and start filming once you leave the station you will be fine as long as you don't get caught ! Once it's on CZcams there's nothing they can do about it because it's for health and safety reasons and not copyright unlike at the Universal parks

The UK theme park channel most smaller parks don't mind you filming at all as long as you the correct equipment like a GoPro with a chest harness or a handle and strap !!! Most reasons for none filming at parks is because of people using there mobile phones and dropping them i.e. health and safety reasons

Been legoland at least 6 times for my birthday now am going again for my sister who has never been. Honestly i just realised how dead that ride is.....
When I first went on the dragon I was bawling my eyes out but when it came to the drop I said “This is fine” 🐶☕️

it's based on an extremely similar ride from legoland billund, but it's in legoland windsor, uk.
Qued up for about 2 hours went on expected real good ride then was unimpressed at lego figures. When we got to the daylight I was officially side eyed chloe.

i live right next to legoland,. I have never ever been. It used to be Windsor Safari park. Total travesty at what its been turned into. the rides are too short and monstrous queues and rip off prices from what i always hear.
How on Earth do you know what the park is like if you have never ever been ?? Just give it a go and experience the park for yourself and if you live right next door and have never been is dreadful lol
