I don't know if you have ever heard of a Swedish fire log, but some of the logs in your pile today would be awesome for that, the ones that are rotted inside. I heard of it on "In the Woodyard". You stack a couple of them and then start the fire inside of the them and continue to put pieces in the middle to burn. They are awesome to watch!
