      I'd happily use this. Seems like a good help on the practice greens

    Last summer I was struggling at my local club on the course and the putting green because the greens were subtle breaks. I downloaded a digital spirit level for free on my phone. I spent hours on the putting green using it to help me understand the break. I improved so much in such a short time.

    The golf rules of -23 allows for amateurs using technology to read a putt. The displayed tech in this video might be a gimmick, but rest assured those aids will have a market. Having worked in IT for over 20 years, I see drones having LIDAR's scanning the greens and projecting the target point and pace for the amateur golfer.

    I have one and have used it. For a few months now. Surprised to find this video. It's a great tool

    I just saw a commercial for this earlier today. No I would not use it. The slope is where your ball is not at or around the hole. So I don't think it would work too well for long putts. Plus it's illegal

    I actually got one similar to yours the magnate round spirit level and I put it on the butter head and putt with it during my practice round it help me to learn to read the green quicker. It accurately, but when playing competitions I don't put it on.

    I’ve just bought one very similar. It’s just not sensitive enough, it’s easily to not get it flat, the grass just lifts it slightly and you’ve got a wrong reading !!! It’s just not reliable

    Is it considered illegal by the USGA AND R&A. Is not just as equal to the prs getting maps of each green their slopes etc which they pro use to assist them when putting. With like to hear your comments on this

    @petermitropoulos8010 Před rokem +1

    Yes, I got one as well. I don't know why illegal as what's the difference between that level as compared to a Rangefinder or Green maps???! Ahhh Golf rules😂😂

      The difference is: old basteges, making s**t up as they go, for the "rules" of golf. Ya know, kinda like phucking the golf ball up!

    Straddling the line of the putt to feel the break should be illeagle, it is if you are putting.

  • @ristoaksila5677

    No I wouldn't use it. I would deploy a surveyor. 😁

  • @ponnappaganapathy9941
    @ponnappaganapathy9941 Před rokem +3

    I don't understand why this marker is illegal. Unless you use it on the entire line of the putt, you only get a slope at the ball location. Aim point, where you straddle the line of the putt, is far more accurate in helping you gauge the line and break 🤷‍♀

      @mre_man Před rokem +1

      10 feet or less it’s pretty damn accurate and more accurate than aim point…

  • @CamMacMastermusic
    @CamMacMastermusic Před rokem

    It’s interesting in theory, but it’s not big enough to give you a real reading but if you could find one that was digital, that would be awesome.

  • @finbar481
    @finbar481 Před rokem +1

    Nope I wouldn't bother with it. I don't believe it's that accurate anyway. It only gives you a reading where your ball is and not down the whole line of the putt. Those 4 putts you did were tap ins anyway mate 😊

    I would not use it during competitive rounds. I would use it during practice rounds. The fact that it is illegal is somewhat amusing since every PGA pro golfer has detailed green books that shows every undulation and break on the green. Additionally, the professional golfer has the added aid of a professional caddie who has analyzed every green before the round begins, plus, they are advised of the speed of the green before every round begins. And, somebody decides that this ball marker is illegal. I think I'll buy one and plot every green on my home course and make my own detailed book of our greens. I have trouble believing that this cheaply made ball marker is anywhere near the accuracy of the PGA green reading books. If this ball marker is illegal, then the PGA green books should be illegal too. They hypocracy of the USGA is astounding.
