that isn't to say Snake Eater is bad, oh no, it's one of the funniest yet awesome theme songs ever yet it captures the feel of Shirley Bassey and the 60's and could fit in that era pretty easily....that couldn't have been easy to nail, the feel of a 60's bond style theme, to be funny yet fit the game too and sound classy as all hell?? I think among game theme songs it's my personal fave or one of em cus Halo is another and Morrowind and Fallout 3 and well maybe not the theme but Doom 2016's BFG Division but that's on a whole other scale lol

I'm partial to the 8BBB version myself, for only one reason : the backup singers going "Snake Eater" in a sultry voice at just the right moments. Give it a try :-) But this version is beautiful too. I started playing video games pretty much when they were invented, I never new it'd evolve into this and I'm totally here for it !

her physical expressions/ gestures are AMAZING and truly show her level of training and talent. a true professional. owning the stage and filling the space with her presence, expressing the song through movement and feeling. just imagine how many other singers stand mostly still. this is is a MASTER CLASS in vocal performance or even musical theatre.

yes it's real. I played with and met loads of singers that just stand still. It's not a huge problem if they are good at singing, but if they suck at singing it's even worse. It's absolutely focal that the one that studies singing gets emotionally involved in that he does.

The original is so beautiful, but this cover comes so damn close to being better. It captures everything that makes the original amazing, and adds on new elements that are just right to make it different while sounding like it belonged in the song in the first place. 10 out of effing 10

Man, I really miss this type of music. This makes me think of spy thrillers like James Bond, 30's clubs with the sultry voiced songstress, and that big band sound that paved way to the swooners and crooners. There is a massive element of sophistication, class, and elegance. The bass and electric guitar add that pre-disco vibe that accents the rest of the music and shifts the sounds from orchestral to pop/R&B. All components merge to create a vibrant and engaging experience. Ingrid's vocals are the bold and dominant cherry on top of the proverbial sundae. I could get lost in this sound for days.

Don't know if you feel the same. But after growing up with those games and playing them throughout the years in all sorts of ages I find it hard to find games that I enjoy. I have become a very picky person because of the beauty of these games.

Even watching this now in 2022, I still come back to this song, and I'm still in awe!! Cynthia, and the orchestra killed it! This song, will never get old to me, and is in my opinion, the greatest video game theme song of all time. 10/10 hats off to Kojima and his team.

Personally, I think the entire orchestra nails it perfectly and Ingrid Gerdes' vocals are amazing. She changes just enough to be interesting and new, showing off her chops, without changing it so much that it's unrecognizable.

Holy shit I can't stop listening to this. The girl absolutely fucking killed it in every possible way, she's phenomenal. She did such a good job of being into it and moving and feeling it. That honestly seals the deal on the powerful, sexy, Bond, secret agent of the state type Metal Gear feel. I can't believe she just stepped into this and did such an amazing job. According to her Instagram this was one of if not the first things she did involved with gaming. The guitarists can't help smiling and trying to catch her eye to do that "We're in sync here and this is magical" musician thing because she's just infectious and incredible, she's done such a good job.
