Just globbing the adhesive on like that creates voids under the tile. If anything impacts the tile at the location of those voids, it WILL crack. Combine that with large tiles and you have a VERY expensive repair for what should have been preventable.

@@Analstrosen body slam isn't anything to worry about. That's alot of spread out force. If someone runs a dolly through there with an appliance on there and barely taps a spot without adhesive, that's a crack. It NEEDS even coverage, or pinpoint pressure in the realm of 10lbs will ruin it

Yeah? We need more manufacturers to develop these large tiles. It makes the work and installation time easier. The Mastic compound and other wall adhesive set the vertical tone for the collection of the brand.

Sorry but I’d still prefer a good silicone job from someone who understands water damage and drainage. No system that wasn’t a liquid silicone mastic has ever not failed quickly or eventually when applied correctly. Remember always slope and never caulk the inside bottom of shower doors so water can drain and not rot silicone😉

@@ChrisJu3 I get that now, honestly I didn’t really take a good look and saw the outlets I just saw a glimpse and started yapping my trap lol force of habit when you’re used to seeing so many bad habits on the shorts🤣😭 honestly I learned to apply the glue on the back differently for better surface area contact you make evenly spaced parallel lines with maybe like 4-6 inches in between lines and then do a squiggle up in between each lines it has way less chance of failing over time from the glue like going bad or like that over hardening shot I see on the back of plenty mirrors and tiles I’m asked to replace or fix
