Thank you for this! I have one in my shop (M1920) for cleaning and had no idea how to take it apart...been carefully trying different things. When I was taking the slide off I heard a springy sound, and looked to see that the firing pin spring had bent down into the frame because there's no spring retainer pin inside the firing pin. My cousin said he's fired it before with no trouble, so now I'm confused. If I can get it back together tomorrow I'll take it apart again with video to see what happened.
I just got one in super bad shape lol. Mag release is completely gone. Safety does not work. Slide will not lock. Slide is extremely hard to get back far enough to cock the firing pin. Looks like I'll be putting mine in a display case!
Hello! Can u help me with what to do? I have the 1934 version but the barrel pin dont wanna come out. I can spin it in any direction but dont wanna come out. An he keep getting pulled back by the spring when i try to pull him out. What can i do? Thank you!
Hey, quick question: can you disassemble the magazine? Just bought a Wolff spring for it (feeding issues when firing) but cant figure out how to disassemble the mag... There is a "dimple" on the mag floor plate that seems to prevent it sliding out of the mag body.
@@kurtthegunsmith wow, thanks! Didn't expect a video... Unfortunately it seems I have a different version of the magazine. Mine has a dimple on the bottom/flat part of the floorplate that prevents it from sliding out, no spring end sticking out... I boiled it in water yesterday and now I am letting it soak in oil. Hopefully that will loosen it up.
@@kurtthegunsmith right I know that. The top part of it broke that goes inside the frame. When I watched your takedown you said the mag catch held a particular piece in inside the frame right below the firing pin. I’m restoring one and the top inch and a half broke. Cannot find a replacement. On gunbroker, numrich, popperts, liberty tree, everygunpart, brownells, jacks, etc… do you know any other parts sites? Thank you very much for the reply. I know what it’s like my bro replies to every comment on our channel. It’s called “the kinzler bros”.
Thanks needed this .......
subbed ya .... thanks MB .

What do I do if I put the recoil spring in backwards and now the slide is stuck?

Does it do that rotating it both clockwise and counter clockwise?
Great video. Do you think these will increase in value over time or decrease? Any idea on the current values...Thanks
Always increase as they aren't being made anymore. They go for between 400-500 anymore.
Hi, great vid, very useful tips. Any idea where I could get a 1934 humpback grips replacement? Tks.
Sorry I'm not sure where you can get replacement grips, check numrich

Does the m1910 takedown rod work on the Mauser m1914
I have a question I have a model 1910 and the tip of my magazine catch broke what does that actually do
If you are referring to what I think you are, it holds the magazine in place
