They know how to make their music sound exactly how they want, they're insanely musically gifted and it's a shame they don't get as much attention as other bands. They easily deserve to be up there with the top.

I know right?! It's the same band, but, somehow, yet different. At this album, i think they got the exactly mix between the heavyness (something that is so familiar to them) and the melody. Especially on this tune. It's magnificent the job they have done since the very beggining. I really hope these guys to keep doing music. For the love of metal.

To everyone who is so worried about whether or not Demon Hunter has gone soft or not, they have always debuted ballads as their previews to albums. Remember how "Last One Alive" came out and it was about as soft and ballad-like as this, but then you listen to the first song on Extremist and it's back to the heavy pounding that is the normal Demon Hunter sound. I assure everyone that there will be heavy music in this album.
Seems like many people's definition of heavy is very different from mine. Apparently these days something isn't considered heavy unless the vocalist is screaming? If someone actually sings then it's not heavy? I've been listening to metal for over 30 years, and this is still heavy in my book.
I agree. I love the band Trivium, not just because they scream and the music is pretty heavy, but because they can also sing and I am a sucker for heavy music with clean choruses with vocalists that can sing well. I think DH's first two albums were their best, but Ryan Clark is still one of the best vocalists in my opinion.
It's far from heavy (in a good way)! It's so heavy it's my favorite album! I think Outlive beats Summer of Darkness! It's just so industrialized, as Demon Hunter likes it that way, polished, goose bumping, and really pure in the music!

This a natural progression for demon hunter I can't blame Ryan Clark for wanting to do more clean vocals his has a wonderful voice. There song writing has only gotten better. My son and I are desperately awaiting the new album. God bless Demon hunter!!

Going thru some of their new songs and some older ones, I've felt a rekindling of wanting to play and write music, as well as profess my faith thru it. Demon Hunter is an amazing band and I hope I get to catch them live one day.
I've been down with this band since their first album back in 2000 or so. Always had a hardcore vibe, but when you can tie soft vocals in and out of a chorus, thats gold. They stay true to their beliefs in their words, but the instruments take it to heaven and hell so all can hear. I love this band!

Demon Hunter's back with a real cool jam! Yeah, the vid is a different concept from previous vids (more about feeling than a story), but it's AWESOME!! Very cool vid for a really AWESOME song!
This song reminds me of my dad. He suffers from a rare sleep disorder where he will fall asleep standing up. There have been DAYS my dad has been on his feet with no hope of rest. I don't know why this is, it makes me very sad. He is a fighter and never gives up, but I fear he's going to die in his sleep here eventually. Please pray for my father that he finds his light.
I have been a huge fan since their early albums and I was kinda feeling like they were losing it with the newer albums. However, this album is a serious comeback. Died In My Sleep and Cold Winter Sun have cemented themselves in my mind to be among their best songs.
I took a break from DH and went into deathcore for a while. Cold Winter Sun didn't do much for me then this happened and it instantly became my fav DH song.

That album is still my favorite of theirs.
In my opinion, Demon Hunter have the best clean Chorus's out of any Christian metal band.
I don't know, wolves at the gate is pretty much even with them if you ask me.

Demon Hunter's back with a real cool jam! Yeah, the vid is a different concept from previous vids (more about feeling than a story), but it's AWESOME!! Very cool vid for a really AWESOME song!
This song reminds me of my dad. He suffers from a rare sleep disorder where he will fall asleep standing up. There have been DAYS my dad has been on his feet with no hope of rest. I don't know why this is, it makes me very sad. He is a fighter and never gives up, but I fear he's going to die in his sleep here eventually. Please pray for my father that he finds his light.

Every song they write always has an awesome hook/chorus to it.. love it!
I have been a huge fan since their early albums and I was kinda feeling like they were losing it with the newer albums. However, this album is a serious comeback. Died In My Sleep and Cold Winter Sun have cemented themselves in my mind to be among their best songs.
I haven't listened to this band since Artificial Light. Happy to see they're still making music.

I took a break from DH and went into deathcore for a while. Cold Winter Sun didn't do much for me then this happened and it instantly became my fav DH song.
