I just saw wwe recently stopped selling DVD it’s like they say you never know what you had till it’s gone. When these companies start removing tv shows and movies people will want to own them just to see that physical media is GONE
I feel like we’re in the phase that VHS was in the mid 2000s where films were being released on it but they were cheaply done and stores were phasing them out.
You should buy the complete series of TV shows at a physical store. A lot can happen in the mail. I recently purchased a complete series of a TV show on DVD online. When it came it was damaged and several of the DVDs scratched. In those big sets they stack the DVDs on top of each other so when it is dropped, and yes it will be dropped in transit at least once, DVDs dislodge and the brittle plastic of the case shatters.
Buy physical media anywhere you can. I've seen more and more stores here in Britain stop selling DVDs, my local Morrisons recently reduced CD/DVD shelf space so I bought a Now compilation and Scooby Doo & Krypto hoping those purchases will contribute to the likelihood of them continuing to sell CDs and DVDs. There is an HMV I sometimes go to but it's a bit of a train ride away! Still, that HMV is where I bought one of my Bluey DVDs and 2 of my Paddington Bear DVDs! Knowing how corrupt Walmart are anyway, seriously they support apartheid, I advise buying DVDs and Blu Rays from small independent retailers if there are any that sell them. I think I bought my US import of OG Ninja Turtles volume 2 in a small retailer (not the smallest) nearer the end of my trip to Florida in 2005, with Blockbuster having some sort of a presence in our lives again now, I think it would be a good idea for them to open a few physical stores so you Americans can still own movies and music physically! I wouldn't even mind seeing them give Clayfighter: Sculptor's Cut a reprint!
Having a store that sells physical media would be cool. My local Walmart or closest I should say still has all the same stuff up the new release section looks like crap. I hope somebody saves physical media even if it’s independent stores. Thanks for leaving a comment
Our Walmart got rid of all the physical media except the new releases. Sucks because it was the place for cheap complete series TV sets. Now I have only Barnes & Noble and an Amoeba Music for that, and they're not cheap sadly.

Yes i agree barnes and noble does not come cheap. i feel like their is still a need for phsical media. I just got into Physical Media collecting a couple months ago, mostly for Horror Movies and though I'm in a newer generation and live in Ireland, it's so sad to see this happen

One no they just don’t care so they’re making things cheap and garbage. No quality whatsoever to the cases or the artwork anymore. To Walmart don’t care about you and your money when it comes to physical media they are not adding new things to the shelves they will put up the sticker for the item put the media. The DVD is never getting loaded to the shelves. This is ongoing trend. It’s been happening now for about two years, I have gone in to Walmart mini mini times looking for certain titles and they never stock them but there’s a spot for them. My sister worked at Walmart for almost 6 years straight as a cashier and she has many times kept I buy out for me for certain titles and they just never appeared and they just kept changing the tag but never adding more stock. I’ve heard that they’re shipping issues and I’ve heard that there’s boxes in the back that are never getting on the shelves and all kinds of other BS. The truth is Walmart just isn’t stocking the shelves with media, there’s no money in it for them. There’s no money in it for the distributors. They’re trying to get rid of physical media I think so that we are forced into streaming and having to pay for watching a video every time we want to watch it. They want control over our collection. They want the ability to change scenes or music anytime they feel like it and we’re not supposed to know the difference. absolutely depressing and as consumers were falling for it. If we were to wake up as media lovers, we would demand that they put out the content and we would be purchasing it in droves, because once you lose physical media, you’ve lost the ability to own it forever. you never know what platform something is going to be on and better yet you don’t even know if it’s even going to be available to watch let alone wear. Streaming platforms come and go merge all kinds of stuff but my DVDs on my shelf never will disappear unless I choose to get rid of them. They’ll always be there. I paid ones for them and I’ll never have to pay every single time I want to watch it or if my family wants to watch it it’s already paid for. Thank you for your upload. Thank you I appreciate that and I agree with a lot of what your are saying. It does make sense that since streaming is the BIG thing now dvd are being pushed out the door. Stores don’t care anymore but I’ve said it before streaming services like Netflix can take any movie or show off their streaming platform and theirs nothing anyone can do about it. We pay for streaming we don’t own it. I wonder how other channels that actually go out and do videos on dvd blue rays are going to keep going losing they won’t be able to go to stores and check out movies anymore.

Hey The RNR, I wouldn't throw in the towel just yet. Too many people still want DVDs. 1. People always want special edition DVDs. 2. Some people still want laptops that play DVDs. 3. Some tablets still play DVDs. 4. Remember, when an item becomes more rare, appreciation grows. 5. Look how lp records have made a comeback. 6. Look how 4K steel books have risen in popularity. 7. Not everyone is sufficiently equipped for complete streaming.

Theyre replacing the halloween stuff with christmas stuff, and theres probably 2 people out of the whole store, that are never scheduled at the same time, that are tasked with doing it based off of a diagram that doesnt exist

I have seen the Blue Beetle movie, with that same cover. The movie is actually pretty good. However, there are a lot of subtitles in which means a lot of writing on the screen. But it's still a great movie. Top Gun Maverick was pretty good too. I'm wondering though if I can still get movie DVDs on eBay, or Amazon hope so great video
a friend of mine said portland walmart was packing up dvds this morning 6 racks gone we have to buy online now but thats better in the long run , i think that what really killed video buying in stores where streaming within stores walmart and besybuy and target , pretty sure besybuy was going to post sights no streaming or recording in the store !!!! recording and streaming i think that they speeded up the removing dvds many are saying
Damage blue ray disc movies doesn't play at all like vhs tapes does everything proven people like myself are fixing broken vhs tapes with Scotch tape it starts playing again with out no problem's to bad people don't want people having them now days everything proven people like myself going to buy them offline no matter what off eBay and Amazon now days no more getting out of the house now for them plus VCR players

Once the Halloween is over it goes on sale then it’s full on Christmas socks their isn’t much to put out for thanksgiving
