I was in Mikes first band in Australia in 1964...We started at our school "Churchie"...He was great on Flingle Blunt and Guitar Boogie..He did not write any songs in our band but co wrote one with me called "Being unkind"..unrecorded and I still have it . I remember when we wrote it he told me" we gotta have a big word in their Thor" and I used the word "misdemeanors"..It was very 60's but I still think it has something to offer "nostalgia". Mike was in our band in 64 and 65 but we let Mike go .He had his own agenda in mind,.....I ran into him in the street in about 67 and he said he was off to England..He asked me did i want to go? He told me he could get free passage over on a ship we he supplied the band. I said no. I had just got married to the President of the Beatles fan club and we had a bub...Born premature(LOL) if you know what I mean. Anyway when you look back on your life and you contemplate how things might have been better for you, I realize that i should have gone to England with Mike..BIG MISTAKE THOR....I am song writer and have written many songs but it is hard to get your music played.I have had success on the Gold Coast but??? I also wrote a song with 'Nap Kipner" who Mike mentioned called "Blues in the Night"..unrecorded.......Mike is so self confident now and all his songs are great..I don't think Nicky had much input if you read Mikes story......It is hard to believe that this little red headed guy who use to read my poems in school has turned out the bestest song writer and producer in the WORLD. Go Mike go!!

A lot of those bands and singers from the glam rock aera would never have made it big without Chapman and Chinn. Similar story with Stock Aitken and Waterman in the 80s.

Ditto to that, Scott! I've loved Mike's music ever since I was a kid and have been influenced by his writing style as a musician and songwriter myself. :)

Anyone know what he's talking about with regard to the story of the Manager of "paul young's band"

Simply the Best it was written for Paul Young, his Manager rejected it so they gave it to Bonnie Tyler it wasn't a hit for her but then Tina Turner heard it, she asked for a few changes and the rest is history.
