I love Petry's writing, she is definitely underrated. Her short story In Darkness and Confusion blew me away. as well as the Street I hope to get to The Narrows. this year. I recently read Giovanni's Room and once again ,Baldwin has confirmed my love for his writing.
I absolutely need to read her short story!!! I haven't read Giovanni's Room yet either! So many books, so little time!
"The Street" is a tremendous book, a true classic indeed. I think of Lutie and Bub often. The end is gutting. 💔
YES!!! That book could have a sequel!
Wow talk about five books that give a punch. Now I want to read all five.
Yay! I think you'd like them all!
Shout out to that T-shirt ❤ Ailey
YES YES YES!!!
I just found your channel and I love that you’ve recommended books I’ve not heard of. Thank you.
Welcome! I'm so glad! Let me know what you end up reading :)
American Sirens has been added to the TBR. Thank you for getting the word out about this book!
Wonderful! Let me know your thoughts once you read it!
Not a romance reader but you’ve made me want to read Before I Let Go
I think it's a great book for non-romance readers. It has just the right amount of contemporary fiction blended in
Hello LaRosa! Happy new year! All the best for the new year. I have read both Let us descend, if Beale could talk because you recommended them. I have bought the twelve tribes of Hattie by Ayana Mathis as well because you recommended it. Now I am adding American sirens. The way you explained the reasons why we should read that particular book convinced me. I am excited. Thanks!
Oh wow! I am so humbled and excited that you are connecting with these books! Happy reading dear friend!
The Second Ending was so fantastic! Michelle Hoffman is a local author here in Phoenix and I was very lucky to walk into B&N on a day she was doing a signing when I first discovered this book. So happy to see her getting some love on booktube!
Oh wow! What an amazing story! I'd love to meet her and hope she has more books coming down the line!
When you said “it’s a mix bag” I felt that. The vibes were all over but we made it through 😂 I need to add The street to my list.
Yay sis! I cannot wait for you to dive into that masterpiece!
Two book recommendations Having Our Say by the Delaney Sisters (I loved these two sisters) and The Women of Brewster Place by Gloria Naylor. This was a wonderful book and TV movie (Amazon has the book and DVD). You will enjoy these books.
Hi Von! Thank you for the awesome recommendations! I remember absolutely loving The Women of Brewster Place TV movie! I will definitely add the book (and the other one) to my TBR. Hope all is well!
@@LaRosaReadsAll is well and may you and your family have a blessed New Year. 😊
