- In this video, picked up my trailer in Texas and struggled to get out. The goal was to get home to gather my tarps, additional equipment, etc. We salvaged the trip by finding another load paying well. I also called brokers (Dispatching myself) and learning the ropes.

I would have locked down that Coyote load. Let him know you will pick it up right away. Ask him if he can pull it from the loadboard while you fill out thecarrier packet. They will work with highly motivated individuals.
You have to always be closing. Put them in a position to not want to lose you.
Keep it up bro! It's tough for everyone out here in the hotshot game right now, both for newer and older authorities! 💪💪
Great video! Shows complete process… from the struggles of booking a load, backing trailer, tarping… good stuff 🔥
I’m going through that now with a my 30 day old authority. I was in Dallas and met you and your pops at the securement class. You guys showed me your truck and trailer setup. Keep those wheels turning.
Awesome. That first 30 and 90 are rough but it gets better. We just hit 6 months in April. A lot smoother now. Thanks for watching!
This is on the money bro! 💯💯💯 love the content 🔥
Hotshot Mac! I’m gonna need some dispatching services bro! I’m getting my CDL starting the 16th this month. When I’m done I want to partner up bro!
Rooting for y’all brothers I start next Month🙏🏽
I like how you guys did the full load tarp and all
did hotshot for almost 2 years brand new equipment paid for small trailer fee a month. And saw more money going out then coming in!
Im looking to get into hotshot but what im seeing to hate is these shady ass companies. I hate negotiating because im from Baltimore and we dont play with people and money. And them trying to scam you due to you being new is nuts.
Great content! It always rains when we get tarp loads 😩
Way to go man. Love to see people go for it. A couple things I didn't know for loading when I started out (maybe you already know): Knowing where the center of mass of your trailer is. Also, scaling your setup so you know each empty axle weight and overall weight. I was legal for up to 40k lbs and my setup weighed close to 20k empty. I had a fuel tank and toolbox in the bed just like you've got. Good stuff! Do you carry 4x4's?
I just bought a 2007 E-450
I'm adding a big truck 5th wheel so I can hook up to gooseneck or rv. I'm rebuilding an old 24' gooseneck trailer...
I'm starting out with a small budget for now...
I'm also going to add a sleeper to the cab and chassis...
God willing I should be ready in about 6 months...
I don't see myself buying a new truck and trailer just yet..!!!
Good luck on your journey...
that camera is awesome
Tudo de bom sucesso para você guerreiro 🇧🇷🇧🇷👍
If you cut a slot in an old socket and put it on a cordless drill it makes rolling those straps much faster
Yep. I actually purchased a socket tool that does it. Thanks for watching!
im about to fire up with my boy! lets get it !
I would have slid those a little bit more forward so that you allow the drive axle to share weight
How long did you have to struggle getting loads with your new authority until brokers started working with you consistently
Y’all lucky to do tarp loads. Cause me as my own boss don’t let myself as a driver get tarp loads… 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I haven't done any tarping lately, not with these rates! 💪🙌
Tarping in hotshot is a baby work compared to tarping on a 53’ semi trailer
Cheboygan Mi my home town
Yessir‼️💻🛻💨💨💨💯
im in staying posted
It's slow starting out. Spending a lot of time behind a computer right now too. Keep at it and good luck!
Great Video!!! Congrats!!! I'm new too, but now I'm looking for a insurance for my New Authority, any that you can recommend? Thanks
I personally went with Three by Berkshire Hathaway and then switched to progressive before hitting the road. Cost me quite a bit to switch but it was worth it. Thanks for watching!
I want to do hot shot trucking, close friends of mine are owner operators and the say it is worth it, are there always loads or does it get slow sometimes?
Funny how they want that tarp and all the rest of the product that you not taking is getting hella wet!
I agree. Product was outside. Some brokers will require product to be tarped in efforts to impress the shipper. Thanks for watching.
Where did you buy your tarps...???
How do u collect the payment?
aye brobro how old was your new authority when you booked you're first load ?
My very first load, my authority was 30+ days old.
Congratulations on your new authority. But man you cannot be out here taking cheap freight you will go out of business real quick. Half the reason why Texas rates are so bad is because everybody and they mama is doing hotshot and people like you taking cheap freight
Everyone’s definition of cheap freight is different. $1.85 a mile for a partial is not cheap freight in my opinion. Keep doing you. Stay up. Appreciate you watching.
@@t3philtv at 1.85$ a mile ull still make some profit. Not a lot but profit is profit.
What’s a 24 or 25 number?
Whats that opening song tho
The opening song is actually my little brothers unreleased music. It’s my way of forcing him to put it out. He’s got quite a bit of music that’s 🔥 but won’t put it out. Thanks 🙏🏾 for watching!
