Gorgeous books! Thanks for the review. With the standard state, can you feel the words on the page? I'm assuming so since this is printed letterpress, but you can tell more so on some papers I find.
There was a very modest bite to the printing, but it wasn't very obvious. Many fine press printers aim to make their impression with a kiss rather than a bite.
Not too keen on the white edge on the standard edition, but I like how the color illustrations look in the standard edition-look better than the de-lux edition.
Interesting, I was kind of the opposite: not too bothered by the plain page edges but I prefer the plates to be mounted to a nicer paper. There's no accounting for taste!
